Limited Edition Exercise Machine: The Designer PowerPlate

PowerPlate Power Plate
Exercise machines might help make people beautiful but the equipment itself is usually anything but. Looking to change all that, however, is Japanese fashion designer Kenzo Takada, who has decked out a PowerPlate (vibrate your way to fitness) in a vivid floral motif. The limited edition model is bright and colorful almost to the point of being obnoxious, but I'm thinking most exercise rooms could use the pop of color (whether it coordinates or not). 'Regular' PowerPlates sell for approx $4,500 but this one will cost you £9,525 (or about $14,300).

My5 Power Plate, Another Way to Vibrate Yourself Skinny

Like the body vibration machine I wrote about previously, the my5 Power Plate is an exercise machine that uses vibration for full body fitness. The my5 is designed to be used to help everyone from sports teams to the elderly achieve new levels of fitness and performance. The my5 is supposed to be used 15 minutes a day three times a week. The machine produces vibrations that transmit waves of energy through the body, activating muscle contractions at 35 times per second. The machine comes in white, black or silver and is a lot prettier than the previous machine I covered (and a bit pricier too at $4,500).
