New Skin Cream Uses Pomegranate Power

pomega5Pomegranate is everywhere these days, showing up in juices, vodkas and teas. The latest pomegranate isn't something you drink, it's something you apply. Pomega5 offers a whole line of treatments that use the power of pomegranate seed oil to hydrate, nourish and heal the skin. The new Grenade Anti Rides Nourishing Cream is an anti-aging cream for mature skin that promises a brighter, more refined and youthful appearance (don't they all?).

The cream uses Omega5, which has been extracted from organic cold-pressed pomegranate seed oil. It is an antioxidant that works to promote cell renewal, stimulates collagen production and minimizes free radical damage. Also knows as punicic acid, it is an essential fatty acid which has recently been analyzed for its ability to help the body fight against cancers, obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.

Israel Creates First Pomegranate Wine

pomegranate winePomegranate juice has become popular and even pomegranate vodka has hit the market, now a winery in Israel is introducing pomegranate wine. The Rinon winery has created a pomegranate wine. Generally pomegranates don't have enough natural sugar to ferment on their own but the pomegranates grown in this region do. Their product line includes a dry white wine, a dessert wine, a port-style wine and a rosé. They plan to export to Europe and America later this year. Pomegranates are full of all sorts of antioxidants and vitamins so consider it health food.

Pearl Pomegranate Vodka

Earlier this month, I mentioned that Hendrix Electric vodka would be a rolling out a pomegranate flavor soon. Pearl Persephone pomegranate-flavored vodka has beaten them to the punch, as the first pomegranate vodka. Pearl Persephone first hit the market at the tail end of last year. Pearl is a Candian vodka that uses mountain water from the Canadian Rockies and soft winter wheat. The 750ML bottle sells for $20. They also sell Lo Coco, a coconut-flavored vodka. It makes me wonder, is there any flavor that hasn't been done as a vodka?
