Richie Sambora and Nikki Lund's WTB Fall 2011 at NY Fashion Week (exclusive with Video)

Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora and musician/designer Nikki Lund debuted their White Trash Beautiful Fall 2011 Collection for the first time during NY Fashion Week. Sambora, the longtime lead guitarist for Bon Jovi and Lund, who has an extensive background in fashion design (and also in music, with the band "Secret Mind") started WTB in 2009. The collection is what you might expect from rock stars---edgy with a lot of black leather---but it is also feminine with plenty of silk chiffons and taffetas also featured. The collection was presented by STYLE360 (and sponsored by Polaroid Sunglasses), a multi-day showcase during NY Fashion Week. STYLE360 is a joint-venture between Hachette Filipacchi Media and A-List Communciations.

"This collection is about being fierce, independent, bold and luxurious," Lund told Luxist. "It's all about passion. We are passionate about fashion. We also love music. Its amazing. We have a really good juxtaposition. Richie is an expert in his field of music and also fashion. We have a good back and forth here."

WTB's Fall 2011 Collection featured several cocktail dresses, including a sharp black laser cut leather keyhole skinny dress. Gowns featured included a silver silk strapless beauty with tulle overlay and another made of silver mesh that was backless with long sleeves. Many of the models were outfitted with gorgeous sunglasses provided by Polaroid Eyewear.

Sexy Polaroids Earn a Celebrity Fan

You may remember she hit pause. studios from our previous article on the gritty, sexy polaroids when they went up at Alison Nelson's Chocolate Bar at Henri Bendel (Sexy Polaroids at Henri Bendel). Well, we're not the only ones who love artist Matt Schwartz's provocative photography -- Catherine Zeta-Jones does, too.

"She will be hanging them in her dressing room for her new Broadway show," says Schwartz, who sold five photos to Zeta-Jones. The Oscar-winning Welsh superstar will be making her Broadway debut alongside Angela Lansbury in a revival of the Stephen Sondheim musical "A Little Night Music," which is slated to open December 13. This is Schwartz's first major celebrity sale. We knew about him first, CZJ!

You can order prints unframed or framed in the artist's signature weathered barnwood from she hit pause -- check out some of the new photos, like the above "white legs + bridge (brookyn)," here, or see them in person at the Union Square Holiday Market November 23 - December 25.

Patti Smith Art Exhibit

Joining the ranks of celebrity artists such as Bob Dylan and Anthony Hopkins exhibiting their work is another iconic figure, Patti Smith. The singer and songwriter will be showing photos taken with her Polaroid camera along with selected found object such as astone taken from the river in which Virginia Woolf committed suicide and slippers work by the late photographer Robert Mapplethorpe.. The show will open in March at the Fondation Cartier in Paris and is named Land 250, after Smith's camera. There will be 250 Polaroids, 25 drawings and film extracts. Smith has also shot a short film about it and recorded spoken explanations of her works that will be played in the gallery.
