Rich gamers want bling too, you know, and they only want to play with the very best of gaming equipment. So both of those statements might be true (I admit I don't really know) but I doubt either of them refers to bling or equipment like this diamond encrusted Sony Playstation controller. Made up of solid 18k white gold and over 68ct in black diamonds it's actually a pendant meant to be worn on a chain.

Yes, because that makes it all better.

No word on how much this little beauty is worth -- the owner claims it was a gift.

Rare Sneakers for PS3 Fans

Joystiq pointed out a very unusual auction item to us, although with the incredibly high demand for Playstation 3s it is not surprising that there are other products that want to ride its wave. A limited edition pair of PlayStation 3-themed Nike Air Max sneakers is up for auction on the shoe auction site Blue Sole. The shoes feature the PS3 tagline "play beyond" on the insole and have the console's launch date stitched on the back - perfect for commemorating a night spent waiting in line in front of your favorite electronics store. The price is up to $4,010 and the auction ends on December 4th.

Sony Goes Pink In Europe

It's been a long time since I went on a pink gadget kick. Let the madness end, Sony is set to prove that pink is an apprporiate color for gaming devices. They have announced a limited edition pink Playstation2 which will be available in Europe. There is also news of a limited edition pink PSP bundle which is a collaboration with the singer Pink and will be available overseas starting in October. Cute but why only in Europe when one only needs to head into a mall and see the pink Razr phones everywhere to know that U.S. obsession with pink gadgets is alive and well?
