Red Valentino Bow Flap Convertible Clutch, Handbag of the Day

Red Valentino Bow Flap Convertible ClutchThe Red Valentino Bow Flap Convertible Clutch is a shockingly affordable and chic offering from the House of Valentino.

Before you get all up in arms over the fact that this is clearly pink, not red, allow us to inform you that RED actually stands for "Romantic Eccentric Dress," and is a sister line to the traditional Valentino. Red Valentino is a collection with "all of Valentino's sophistication -- but injected with a more contemporary feel," says Net-a-Porter. We think "contemporary" must mean "cheaper." But we're not complaining.

And it also comes in gray.

This adorable 11"W X 7½"H X ¼"D convertible clutch has a magnetic snap closure and a 22" tuckaway shoulder chain. We love it because it's fresh, charming, and has a big ol' unapologetic 1980's bow on it. This bag says "I'm kicky and fun, but with high style." It's the perfect touch of feminity for a no-frills shift dress or other outfit. Match your lipstick to it. We dare you.

The Red Valentino Bow Flap Convertible Clutch is available from Saks Fifth Avenue for $395.00.

Versace pink shoulder bag
Think spring! That's what this pretty pink Versace Leather Shoulder bag says to me, and it does so without any floral patterns or appliques whatsoever. It's a nice blend of uber-feminine and modern-chic with it's girly color, chunky gold hardware, and studded strap details. It comes with a hefty chain-link strap, large designer-stamped plaque front and center, twist-lock closure detail, and press-stud fastening for the fold-over flap front. Inside its lined in beige satin with one zip pocket. Overall a very 'edgy Easter' look perfect for pairing with your favorite spring sundresses. $1,395

PINK Wears Van Der Bauwede "Good Luck" Watch

Luxo-fashion watch brand Van Der Bauwede just entered the US, and are currently found for sale in Florida. I was visited one of their dealers in while Geneva, and checked out their quite massive array of models. It's hard to describe the aesthetic of the pieces; it's a bit like Swiss watchmaking meets Ed Hardy. The watches mostly feature mechanical movements and decoration with diamonds and other precious or semi-precious stones.

Here is the "Good Luck" watch by Van Der Bauwede. It is a lady's piece in steel and large (though I am not sure of the size). It has a Swiss mechanical movement in an oval case with diamonds and sapphires on the bezel. Dial is again... very Ed Hardy looking with a skull and other colorful elements on the dial. There are some jewels and diamond powder on the dial. Check out singer PINK with the Good Luck watch on. Price is $9,900.

Lauren Merkin Diana for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Handbag of the Day

Laura Merkin Diana in pink
Does this charming little handbag look familiar? We wrote about it last June when it first came out in beige and black (Lauren Merkin Diana Studded Lambskin Mini Bag). Well, it's back in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and we couldn't be more delighted!

This beautiful, Swarovski crystal-studded purse -- a new version of Lauren Merkin's most popular clutch -- falls somewhere between rock-and-roll chic and Mad Men swellegant. The flirty gathered pink lambskin is neatly tucked into an envelope closure, which is easily grippable if you'd rather not use the chainlink strap. The bag is 10"W x 6"H x 1"D, just big enough for a night out or a day shopping, but definitely sized for play, not work.

Best of all, a full 50% of the proceeds from the Diana in Pink Studded Lambskin with Swarovski Crystals will be donated to Young Survival Coalition, an organization which supports women under the age of 40 who are diagnosed with breast cancer. You can get your pretty pink bag for $275.00 at LaurenMerkin.com through the end of October.

Nina Ricci Small Hobo, Handbag of the Day

Although a pale pink handbag seems fitting for the Summer, this cute little hobo by Nina Ricci makes me want to find a way to incorporate with my Fall wardrobe. The color is light and soft and so of course is the leather.

The Ricci Hobo ($1475) is sparingly adorned with just a knotted bow handle and monochromatic logo on the front zippered pocket, making it a bag that will last for years to come. Even with its small size, the hobo is perfect for your essentials. Dimensions: 8.5" X 16" X 5".

Marc by Marc Jacobs Flash Kelsey Crossbody Bag, Handbag of the Day

Marc by Marc Jacobs Flash Kelsey Crossbody BagThe Marc by Marc Jacobs Flash Kelsey Crossbody Bag is a splendid splash of color to add to your summer wardrobe.

In case you've suddenly noticed that your closet is full of beige, gray and beiger, this is your antidote to a boring summer of blah. The crinkle leather in this bewitching shade of "Rosie" is adorned with a smattering of working zig-zag zippers, making the overall look of the purse lighthearted and fun -- no rainy day gloom involved.

This carefree crossbody is larger than you might think -- 14½"W X 10"H X ½"D -- but the festive color makes it perfect for nighttime affairs as well as long days at the park. To make sure its brashness looks intentional, don't go monochrome with it; wear a floral or other print with detail in a similar color to achieve a quirky, yet put-together effect.

And do wear it on a rainy day; just looking at it will cheer you up.

The Marc by Marc Jacobs Flash Kelsey Crossbody Bag is available from Saks Fifth Avenue for $358.00.

Ipa Nima Reina Messenger, Handbag of the Day

ipa nima messenger bag Doesn't a dusty pink handbag seem perfect for the summer? It would complement all the typical summer colors that we find ourselves being drawn to and for the days where we end up wearing a pair of jean shorts, a white tank top and a pair of Yosi Samra gladiators, a pop of pink will serve our outfit just fine.

The Reina Messenger by Ipa Nima ($368) can be worn comfortably on your shoulder or across your chest and has roomy interior with multiple interior compartments, exterior front and side zippered pockets. The leather is super soft (you have to love nappa leather) making it lightweight and so much easier to carry. The Reina would be ideal as your go-to summer handbag.

Roberta Di Camerino Calf Leather Bag

Roberta Di Camerino Calf Leather Bag
If you've always loved the lady like kiss-lock frame purses but wish you had more space, you will love this bag by Roberta Di Camerino ($1174). It's a super sized version of the feminine classic with a buckle adornment in bubble gum pink across an understated beige color palette. While it unfortunately lacks the kiss lock closure, it does have a frame and features a beige and pink leather double handle with shiny gold metal accents. The opening is quite large and the interior is roomy with a single zippered pocket. It's a fun bag to wear throughout the year.

Jerome Dreyfuss Billy Large Bag, Handbag of the Day

jerome dreyfuss billy large bag
This Jerome Dreyfuss Tote had to have been inspired by Bubble Yum Gum. It's outrageously bright and yummy looking candy colored pink completely reminds me of the gum that I use to chomp away on as a kid. I couldn't get enough of this gum. As an unexpected and bold dose of color, the Billy Large Bag is perfect. And its size (17"H x 20"W x 7"D) is conducive to fit everything you need for the day or to be used as a carry-on while you travel. If you are an expert and light packer, you might even be able to get away with using the Billy Large Bag as a weekender. Made from lambskin and accented with a suede trim, this bag is not only pretty but serves to be very functional. It features 2 top handles, a shoulder handle, an exterior zippered pouch/pocket, a super roomy interior and in case you get caught in the dark and need some light – a mini flashlight. Price: $970.

Fiat 500C Pink Limited Edition Drops Its Top

Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

fiat 500c pink limited edition

Everybody's got a different reason for their choice in automobile. For some it may be the hood ornament that acts as a status symbol. For others it could be something as simple as an iPod connector. And some see their vehicle as just another fashion accessory.

For that last category of buyer, Fiat UK released a special-edition 500 Pink a few months back. Now they're following up with a convertible version, called the 500C Pink. Based on the 500C 1.2 Pop trim level, the Pink edition doesn't cost an arm and a leg at £13,500 (about $20k), representing a £1,200 premium over a conventionally-colored model while carrying £1,870 worth of extra equipment. Which just goes to show that fashion accessories needn't be expensive. Good taste, on the other hand....

Burberry Check Hearts Satchel, Handbag of the Day

BurberryThe Burberry Check Hearts Satchel is a lovely Valentine's gift or seasonal accessory.

Whether it's given to you by your handsome lover or not, this satchel is a sweet, whimsical way to carry Burberry while love is in the air. Their traditional check pattern is adorned with soft, airy pink hearts and enclosed in sexy, deep red patent leather details. This "someone loves me" purse is 11"W X 7½"H X 6"D, has double handles and metal feet, and includes dangly heart charms -- which you can remove if that's just too much love.

While wearing any kind of "themed" accessory can be tricky, this bag makes embarrassment unlikely, as it is decidedly casual. The trouble with most holiday-wear is that it gives the impression of trying too hard. With a bag like this and a pair of jeans, no one will accuse you of making a spectacle of yourself or pushing the romance too far. Only on Valentine's Day itself (or when attending related events) should you pair this satchel with anything other than your most casual jeans or pants.

So, we love this, but encourage you to use it with caution.

The Burberry Check Hearts Satchel is available from Saks Fifth Avenue for $650.00.

Rock Candy Beauty & The Beast BLK Edition Watches

I've never heard of either Rock Candy or Chouette - but together they have released a new set of two watches, the "Beauty," and the "Beast." Apparently Chouette is "Hong Kong's premier watch and lifestyle brand." I don't know anything about that, but I will take their word for it - neither do I care, because these watches pretty much speak for themselves. As ladies' watches go these are both quite dark and still feminine. There is a playful aggression to them that will strongly appeal to some women. My top choice is the Beast watch in all black but with its bright, hot pink hands.

Technical details on the watches are scant. They are in black coated steel cases with custom silicon straps and quartz movements. The "spiked" bezels have repeated pyramid shapes on them, while there is a black crystallized Swarovski Elements stone as a cabochon in the crown. The Beauty version of the watch has an addition 502 Swarovski stones all over the dial under the grayish colored hands. Dial design is almost like a stripped down diver's watch - and that helps with the clarity. While Beauty has a subdued and aggressive jewelry feeling to it, the Beast looks like what a biker or rocker chic would wear on days she is otherwise not dressed as a biker or a rocker chick. I think the hot pink accent is really going to be the part of the watch that helps bring together the "strong enough for a man, but made for a woman" style of the case and dial. Oh, and the future of "phantom" all black watches is this, having an all dark case and dial with hands that are legible.

Each of the two watches will be available as a limited edition of just 300 pieces. The Rock Candy Beauty watch will retail for about $900, while the Beast will retail for about $640.

Fiat Launches Special Edition 500 Pink

Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

Looking for the perfect chariot for your next shopping excursion down to Chelsea? Look no further than the Fiat 500 Pink. Launched by Fiat UK, the 500 Pink is exactly that: pink. And though there's not much else to distinguish this special edition Cinquocente from any other, it comes with about £1,500 worth of optional extras – from the sunroof to the enviro-chic start-stop engine management – for only a £1,000 premium, which leaves an extra £500 left over for a matching pair of pumps. Barbie doll not included.

Botkier Orion Leather Shoulder Bag, Handbag of the Day

Botkier Orion Leather Shoulder BagThe Botkier Orion Leather Shoulder Bag is a surefire way to fight the winter doldrums with one of womankind's fiercest weapons: hot pink.

The name of this handbag suggests that it was inspired by the three stars of Orion's belt -- perhaps that's why New York house Botkier created a purse that can probably be seen from outer space. The lush Italian leather forms a fabulous hexagon which is just 5"W x 3½"H, and with a surprising 5" depth. It's essentially like carrying an enormous, gleaming jewel around.

We'd love to see this with a pretty white coat, or used as a last-minute way to jazz up a hopelessly boring outfit (it happens to the best of us).

The Botkier Orion Leather Shoulder Bag is available from Saks Fifth Avenue for $275.00.
