Family Pillows by K Studio

Home decor is all about individual touches and putting your personal stamp on the living spaces you spend your time in, and what better way to personalize a room than with a throw pillow detailed with your unique family unit on it? Family Pillows by K Studio allow you to do just that. After deciding if you want hemp square (No. 1) or cotton rectangle (No. 2) you personalize the design by choosing from a group of characters to represent the members of your family (pets too!) and then also selecting who will stand where in the layout. $134

Thomas Paul Seed Linen Pillow

As far as I'm concerned you can't have too many throw pillows. It's great to switch them up for the seasons, get a different look for the room in mere minutes, or even just match your current mood on a whim. This Thomas Paul Seen Linen Pillow will go easily go with a variety of different colors and styles in your home. Made of 100% linen with a feather/down insert, this pillow is available in 5 different beautiful colors. I personally love this shade of silver ("Dove") the most because the pattern jumps out so much it's practically glowing. 22"x22", $96

The Pillow Chair

The very name of this chair sounds appealing to me, and then to see it I can't help but notice an airy modern comfort in the way it's put together. Inspired by methods used in the fashion and textile industries, the Pillow Chair is formed of rubber plywood covered in leather sitting on top of white powder coated aluminum legs.

I was a little bummed to discover it probably isn't that soft -- I was kind of hoping it was a chair frame with a big square throw pillow on top. But regardless, it looks great. Very much something I'd expect to see in an artist's studio loft apartment. By Anna Thomas from Loyal Loot.

Jean-Francois Lesage Holiday Pillows

The holidays are the perfect time to put out odd little decorative items and other seasonally-theme things that make the house look festive but have little "real" purpose. At least, most of them have little purpose. The Holiday Pillows from Jean-Francois Lesage can certainly improve the cushiness of your couch or a favorite chair. There are two designs, a snowflake ($475) and a reindeer ($505), and both are embroidered on oversized, soft French felt pillows along with the year. Each measures 24" x 24".

Velvet Beetle Pillow

Throw pillows are a nice way to accent a room without replacing the floor or furniture. You can easily introduce new textures and colors to a room, brightening it or making it more elegant, if you choose. A pillow like this Velvet Beetle Pillow, designed by Helene Ige, can be a nice touch. The pillow itself has a down and feather fill and comes in vibrant jewel-tones. It is accented with a beetle made of gold metallic foil. The beetle design is not so large that it draws too much attention from the rest of the room, but it does add a bit of interest to what might otherwise be boring pillows. Price: $139 or $159, depending on size (12x16" or 18x18").

Cindy & Mel Sushi Pillows

There is something very appealing about decorative pillows, although they never have quite the same sense of purpose as the pillows that your might ordinarily put on your bed. These sushi pillows by Cindy & Mel have particular appeal, probably because they look almost edible. They also have the added bonus of being far more comfortable than non-pillow sushi, not to mention that they last longer. The pillows are painstakingly made out of high-quality fabrics, with hand-painted designs. They make great housewarming gifts for sushi-loving friends. Ebi Nigiri (shrimp) pillow: $58. Other pillows: $48.
