From the Wall Street Journal's Private Properties:
--Florida car dealer, Terry Taylor has listed his Palm Beach home, shown above, at $72.5 million which is almost three times what he paid in 2003. The main house was built circa 1924 and designed by veteran Palm Beach architect Addison Mizner. It has nine bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a movie theater with a ticket window and concession stand, an exercise room, a wine cellar, pool, large pool house and two three-car garages, each with a second-floor guest apartment. --Joseph Simmons, better known a Rev. Run, has relisted his suburban New Jersey house for $5.2 million.

From the LA Times Hot Property:
--William Chadwick has put his home in the pricey Carbon Beach area of Malibu on the market for $65 million. It was our estate of the day on Friday.
--"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane picked up a home in Beverly Hills that wasn't listed for $13.5 million.
Television producer Jay Tarses has sold a home he built in 1987 in Pacific Palisades for $2.995 million. The home was first listed in January for $3.489 million.
--Singer Doug "SA" Martinez of the band 311 has listed his funky Spanish colonial in Los Feliz. It's our estate of the day later today.
--Philippe Naouri -- a.k.a. the Vintage Denim King has put his Hollywood Hills contemporay on the market for $3.185 million. The listing is here.

--Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk has picked up a home in Calabasas that was listed at $5.89 million. Britney Spears has also been said to be looking at homes in the same area of Calabasas.
--Hugh Laurie has paid $3.84 million for an English Country style residence located in the Outpost Estates section of the Hollywood Hills from music manager Pat Magnarella who bought the home in 2001 for $2 million.
--Actor Justin Long has picked up a two-bedroom bachelor pad in the Blue building on Norfolk Street in New York for $2.425 million.
--Businessman Peter Morton has put a seven bedroom home on the market in Beverly Hills for $22.5 million. The listing is here and notes that the home has such a view that the property will be shown only on a clear day.
--Ambleside, the Indian Hill, Ohio residence of late Cincinnati Reds owner Marge Schott has hit the market for $5.4 million. The listing is here.

--Katie Holmes has been spotted duplex penthouse at Trump park Avenue with a $200,000-a-month price tag.
--A new listing in the famed Dakota building is hitting the market with a $7.5 million asking price.
--Alex Rodriguez, aka A-Rod, was seen a few weeks ago checking out units at 15 Central Park West just two blocks from where Madonna lives. He's been checking out the four-bedroom duplex that Lindsay Rosenwald has put unofficially on the market for $90 million through Brown Harris Stevens.

From Berg Properties Big Time Listings:
--Nicole Kidman has purchased record producer and songwriter Ron Fair's house in Beverly Hills, Calif. for an undisclosed price after it had been listed for $4.795 million.
--Los Angeles anchorman Harold Greene and his wife, Charlene have put their Toluca Lake home on the market for $2.299 million. The listing is here.
--Basketball star Elton Brand has placed his three-bedroom, Hollywood Hills home on the market for $4,998,500, two years after he first had listed the house at close to $5 million. The listing is here.

From Golf Magazine:
--Golfer Phil Mickelson's house, built on 4.55 acres in Rancho Sante Fe, California is on the market for $10,750,000 - $12,225,876. The listing is here.

--Russell Crowe is renting a home for around £20,000 in London's Mayfair district while he films a movie in England.

--Braden Keil gives us a list of top real-estate turkeys, overpriced homes which have been on the market for a while. The list includes the $75 million Three Ponds Farm, Martin Zweig's Pierre Hotel penthouse for $70 million and Bob Guccione's penthouse which is listed at $59 million.

From the New York Observer's Manhattan Transfers:
--People magazine executive editor Jeannie Park has bought a Washington Square Park brownstone for $5.1 million. The townhouse is split into six apartments and an owner's duplex.
--Art dealer David Zwirner recently paid $3.65 million for a four-floor building at 232 East 13th Street next-door to his five-bedroom brownstone.
-- Makeup guru Laura Mercier has purchased a $6.7 million Chelsea loft.
--Iris Cantor, whose late husband, G. Bernard Cantor, co-founded the investment bank Cantor Fitzgerald, is already flipping the floor-wide penthouse she bought for $15,044,644 in May.The listing for 110 Central Park South is here.

From Forbes Movers & Shakers:
--The country home of designer Yves Saint Laurent has been reduced to $19.9 million. The nine-bedroom, seven-bathroom home on 75 acres was originally listed for $25.6 million.

From The Wall Street Journal's Private Properties:
--Hard Rock Cafe co-founder Peter Morton bought the Los Angeles home of radio-station mogul Norman Pattiz and his wife, Mary but the deal for the house, which has been listed at $19.95 million, been cancelled. Mr. Pattiz and his wife bought the house 20 years ago for $5.9 million from David Geffen.
--The co-founder of Burt's Bees, Roxanne Quimby, is trying to sell three of her four houses in Palm Beach. Quimby has put all four properties on the market and says she will sell the first three to find buyers and keep the last one. Each of the homes is fairly modest but has its own special qualities. We'll be taking on all four as our estate of the day.
-- S still-incomplete Beverly Hills compound built by Saudi businessman Mishaal Kamal Adham and his wife has gone on the market for $33 million which is over $30 million less than when it was first listed last year. The main house is around 30,000 square feet and the property includes a small vineyard, guest house, carriage house and the foundation for a planned 12,500-square-foot entertainment facility.

From the Marin Independent Journal:
--Tennis stars Andre Agassi and wife, Steffi Graf, have finally unloaded their 13,000-square-foot Tiburon estate, shown above. But it's not exactly cause for celebration. The place sold for $20 million, $3 million less than they paid for it five years ago. This makes the house both the first and second-highest sales in Marin history, the first being when Agassi purchased it in 2001 for $23 million.

--Britney Spear has been house hunting in Beverly Hills and the Hollywood Hills and as soon as she finds a place her eight-bedroom Malibu home will go on the market.
--Carlos Boozer, forward for the Utah Jazz, and his wife, Cindy, have sold their 10-bedroom home near the Sunset Strip for close to its $10 million asking price. The buyer was Russell Weiner, chief executive officer of Rockstar Inc., maker of Rockstar Energy Drinks.
--Former Kings player Luc Robitaille and his wife, Stacia, have purchased a home in Westwood for more than the asking price of about $2.5 million.
--Bren Simon, wife of shopping center magnate and Indiana Pacers co-owner Mel Simon, has purchased a new home in Bel-Air for $28 million. According to agents, the property was not even listed for sale.
--Interior Designer Jeffrey Alan Marks has sold a home he fixed up in the Hollywood Hills for close to its $2.5-million asking price. The house was purchased by Robert Semmer, whose company does post-editing for the TV shows "Nip/Tuck" and "Desperate Housewives."
