We're not the only ones who like to accessorize -- our pets appreciate nice things also, and they like to be on the cutting edge of the latest styles and trends just like we do.

Ha, okay, that might be exaggerating a bit. It's really some of the owners out there who want their pets on the cutting edge of fashion and all decked out in jewels and bling, and for those people and their pets New York was the place to be recently at the 2007 annual Pet Fashion Week. Cats and dogs alike walked the runway, showing off everything from clothing to accessories to grooming products and home decor items. And like any runway fashion show, it looks like some of the designs were pretty extreme!

It's finally come to this, fashion week for pets. Pet Fashion Week was actually just a two-day event this past weekend dedicated to pet fashion. The events included a tradeshow, symposium and a VIP gala. Pet fashions included a $5,500 dog wedding dress by Emma Rose Design, a $250,000 diamond dog collar and cashmere and silk offerings from Phoebe's Inc.
