Provident Financial Management Golf Classic

The second-annual Provident Financial Management Golf Classic benefiting the Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy takes place on March 9th at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California. The Sherwood Country club is home to a championship 7,052 yard, par-72 champion golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. The event begins with a breakfast and putting contest followed by a shotgun start at 11:00AM. The event includes a complimentary barbecue lunch on the 9th hole, and an evening dinner and cocktail party at the Sherwood clubhouse and both silent and live auctions.Individual tickets start at $2,500.
The Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program conducts leukemia and cancer research for infants, children, and adolescents at the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, while Nordoff-Robins Music Therapy provides and promotes the skilled use of music with individuals, groups and communities who are challenged by disability, illness or injustice. In the first year alone, the Annual Provident Financial Management Golf Classic raised over $220,000. Funds raised by Bogart Pediatric Cancer Research Program enable the foundation to receive more support for its research and care, resulting in 8 to 10 dollars in research grants for every dollar raised.
