From the NY Post's Gimme Shelter:
--As we saw on Friday, Tommy Hilfiger has put his Greenwich, Connecticut home on the market for $27.9 million.
--An oceanfront estate with a $65 million asking price has just gone to contract on exclusive Gin Lane in Southampton.
--It's official, Parker Posey has sold her one-bedroom co-op for $1.3 million and bought a two bedroom on lower Fifth Avenue for around the same price.
--Retired Goldman Sachs manager turned bed-and-breakfast proprietor Robert Mnuchin, and his wife, Adriana, have spent $20 million for a full floor co-op at 944 Fifth Ave.

From the NY Observer's Manhattan Transfers:
--Hedge fund manager Daniel Loeb has closed on his famous $45 million penthouse at 15 Central Park West. No mortgage records were filed with the deed, which suggests that Mr. Loeb paid cash to satisfy the most expensive sales price ever on Central Park West.
--Even though he passed away in Monaco last March, the British skyscraper developer Howard Ronson has added to his real estate portfolio. His limited liability corporation just paid $11 million, according to public deeds, for the Berwind Manor's glass penthouse. It's not clear if his widow controls his real estate deals now, but his brokers said it was Ronson's idea to buy the mansion piecemeal.
--Lawyer Aaron Charney who sued his firm, Sullivan & Cromwell, last year alleging homophobia and collected a settlement, has bought a penthouse. He and a partner just paid $1.495 million for a penthouse at the newly converted condo at 93rd Street and Broadway.
--Developer Bruce Ratner has paid $6.9 million at 128 East 62nd Street.
--A $38 million Upper East Side mansion designed by Stanford White in 1903 has gone to contract. Rumor has it that the buyer is Thomas Montag, the former co-head of securities trading at Goldman Sachs.

From The Wall Street Journal Online's Private Properties:
--The ex-wife of technology entrepreneur Warren V. "Pete" Musser has decided to auction off her Philadelphia Main Line estate on April 19. Interior designer Hilary Grinker Musser is reportedly willing to accept as little as a quarter of its original $12.5 million asking price, the suggested opening bid of $3 million.
Columbia Law School professor Hans Smit, who's listed a mansion, shown above, for $30 million, has turned down a $20 million offer. I can almost understand why, it's an elegant 1909 French Renaissance-style marble house with all sorts of original details. Check out the listing here.

From Berg Properties Big Time Listings:
--Model/heiress Lydia Hearst pays $1.49 million for a two-bedroom condo in Mid-Town Manhattan.
--Billy Howerdel, a guitarist who founded and played in A Perfect Circle, has sold his four-bedroom house in the Hollywood Hills for $1.875 million.

From the Real Estalker:
--Veronica Hearst's 28,000-square-foot Villa Venezia mansion on 3.77 acres in Manalapan, Florida sold at a foreclosure auction in Florida today for $22 million. Rumor has it that Greg Norman might be interested in picking it up.
--Russ Weiner, founder of Rockstar energy drinks has cut the price on his Hollywood Hills home from $22 million to $15.9 million. Check out the property website here. He has also dropped the price on his Franklin Hills home around $2 million, it's down now to $2,995 million.
--(via the Telegraph) Indian billionaire Lakshi Mittal has put his mansion on Bishop's Avenue in London on the market for £40,000,000. The Summer Palace measures 18,000 square feet and has 11 bedrooms, garage parking for 20 cars, and a heart shaped indoor swimming pool.
--Part of the large apartment at 810 Fifth Avenue in New York by Nelson Rockefeller is up for sale. The two-bedroom pad has a 47' living room with Central Park views, West and South. It is listed at $27.5 million.
--(via Curbed L.A.) John Stamos becomes the latest celeb to opt in at the turqoise Art Deco Eastern Columbia building in downton Los Angeles.
--Suzanne Somers has already dropped the price on her Palm Springs retreat from $35 million to $27.5 million. My bet is it will sell for $22 million.
--Actor Sean Hayes has put his Hancock Park home on the market for $8.95 million. It is our estate of the day later today.
--Singer Kylie Minouge has put her French Island, Australia home on the market for tender with a price tag of $1.8 to $2 million Australian. The listing is here.

--A home with more than ten bedrooms and an underground swimming pool has become the world's most expensive single residential dwelling after being sold for £80 million (over $159 million).

From the LA Times Hot Property:
--The estranged wife of former L.A. Mayor Richard Riordan, has sold a Malibu beach house for an estimated $68 million which will make it the highest-priced home sale in Malibu. The 12,785-square-foot house on Carbon Beach takes up more than three lots.
--As the Real Estalker previously reported, former "Melrose Place" star Grant Show has put his gated Hollywood Hills home on the market for $1.995 million. The listing is here.
--Joan Collins has purchased a condo for $2.7 million in Sierra Towers in West Hollywood.
--The former Al Jolson estate in Encino has come on the market at $9.79 million. The home which has also been owned at various times by actors Katey Sagal,Kirstie Alley and Charlie Sheen, is listed here.


Thanks to Pierre, for reminding me that Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons's Saddle River, New Jersey is still on the market for $23.88 million. Nearly a year and no price reduction? That's pretty optimistic.

Thanks to Lana for directing me to the most expensive house currently on sale in Spain. The Carmen de los Chapitales which is listed for 90 million euros.

--The Desert House, the sleek and modern prototype for the deluxe prefabs created by starchitecture firm Marmol Radziner in Desert Hot Springs has been listed at $1.85 million.
--Did Scott Baio move to a five-bedroom house in Encino? The Real Estalker Mama reports that Baio and his wife, Peaches Renee Sloan, still occupy Baio's home on Royal Oak Road in Encino. It looks like the couple "bought" the new home on the show for reality drama's sake.
--Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford are renting out a beach front four-bedroom home in Malibu for $22,500 a month.
--Rumors have been swirling that Britney Spears bought a new house in Hermosa Beach before she went into the hospital. The home in question appears to be owned by professional photographer Dani Brubaker (who recently took pictures of Britney and her children for OK Magazine) and it seems unlikely that Britney actually bought this home.
--Has billionaire Ron Burkle helped Michael Jackson save Neverland Ranch? Roger Friedman at Fox News has reported that Burkle might have intervened of Jackson's behalf to provide an extension to give Jackson time to refinance.
--Jennifer Aniston has moved out of the Malibu cottage she's been renting since 2005.
--Jermaine Dupri has listed a five-bedroom home in Atlanta, Georgia for $1.5 million. The listing is here.
--Melrose Place actor Grant Show has listed his three-bedroom house in the Beachwood Canyon for $1,995,000. The listing is here.
--Singer Dido has listed her house in the prestigious Bird Streets area of Los Angeles for $4.6 million. The listing is here.

--A Parisian home that once belonged to Impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir is on the market. It is out estate of the day later today.
--NBA point guard Baron Davis of the Golden State Warriors has sold a pair of adjacent condos in West Hollywood for $2.66 million.
--Investment banker Warren Woo has paid $20 million for a house in Los Angeles, plus $2 million more for furnishings.

--A two-floor penthouse at 530 East 72nd Street which was lived in by Frank Sinatra and Mia Farrow and then by Andy Warhol's physician, Denton S. Cox is on the market for $5,995,000 and it's a real fixer-upper. The listing is here.
--Ex-F.B.I. Special Agent Ali Soufan, who now works for Guiliani Partners, and his wife just paid $1.7 million for a new Manhattan apartment.
--Stephen Drucker, House Beautiful's editor, and real estate agent Frank Newbold closed this month on a two-bedroom co-op at 125 East 74th Street for $1.45 million.
--Parker Posey, who late last year listed her apartment in an 1845 brownstone on East 10th Street near Third Avenue for $1.175 million, is in contract to buy a $1.35 million one-bedroom co-op at 30 Fifth Avenue.
--Salman Rushdie's ex-wife, 37-year-old Padma Lakshmi, the model-turned-Top Chef hostess paid $1,651,111 for a long, full-floor loft in Alphabet City.

From Berg Properties Big Time Listings:
--Wilmer Valderrama has sold a home in Tarzana for $1,750,000 after it had been listed for $2,250,000 and later reduced to $1,950,000.
--Rupert Murdoch has taken $2,000,000 off the asking price of his Long Island, N.Y. mansion, Rosehearty, reducing its listing price from $14,800,000 to $12,800,000. It was our estate of the day back in July.

--A new record residential price has been set for the North Fork of Long Island. A 135-acre estate that includes a 19-acre vineyard has been sold for $19.5 million. The original asking price for Indian Neck Farm was $22 million when it went on the market in 2006.
--Edgar Bronfman Jr. and his wife, Clarissa, finally have taken possession of their 11-room co-op at 1040 Fifth Ave.
--Author and interior decorator Regina "Gigi" Mahon has paid just over $14 million for two condo apartments on the fifth floor at the soon to be completed Plaza.
--Polo-playing communications mogul Adam Lindemann has found a new oceanfront Hamptons hideaway in Montauk for $21.5 million.

--Keith Yamashita, a high-powered business consultant, has listed his contemporary Manhattan Beach home at $3.449 million because he and his partner, Todd Holcomb, are planning to return to San Francisco, where their 10-year-old company, Stone Yamashita Partners, is based. The listing is here.

--Martha Stewart's daughter Alexis is moving into the Richard Meier-designed condos that her mother owns. As the Real Estalker noted last month, Alexis has put her TriBeCa aparmtent on the market for $12.4 million.
--The Esquire magazine-sponsored triplex apartment at 111 Central Park North in Harlem has gone to contract for approximately $8.5 million.
-The listing of the Bridgehampton home owned by Kelsey Grammer is "exploratory in nature," Kelsey and his wife Camille are just testing the real estate waters.
--Real-estate heiress/Democratic fundraiser Connie Milstein has sold her 15-room duplex at 770 Park Ave.

From the Wall Street Journal's Private Properties:
--As the Real Estalker first reported last May, "Lost" star Terry O'Quinn has placed his Oahu house, shown above, on the market for $2.94 million. The listing is here.
--The Manhattan condo in the Time Warner Center that Ricky Martin sold last year for $9.75 million is back on the market for $18.9 million.
--Colorado's Last Dollar Ranch, a site of ads for Marlboro, Budweiser and others has been sold for $6.27 million at auction.

--Simon Fuller, the creator of American Idol just paid $19,360,752 for two ninth-floor condos, each over $9.9 million, at the Plaza.
--Indie actress Parker Posey has listed her three-room apartment in an 1845 brownstone in the East Village for 1.175 million.
--Russian billionaire and enemy of Vladimir Putin, Boris Belotserkovsky is already ensconced at the Plaza. Now he has a likeminded soul in the same building. Steven Theede, the ex-CEO of Yukos Oil closed this month on a 10th-floor Plaza spread.
--Texas-born philanthropist Courtney Sale Ross who already has a huge duplex at 740 Park has paid $7.25 million for a penthouse at 160 Wooster, a glass-and-white-metal downtown condo. The new condo is likely for a lucky member of her family.

--As the Real Estalker also recently reported, Britney Spears is leasing, with an option to buy, in Malibu.
--The Pacific Palisades home that belongs to writer Angela Wilder (ex-wife of basketball player James Worthy) has been sold for close to $2 million.
--Want to live next door to the Mayor? Actor-director Al Morgenstern, who owns the only home immediately adjacent to Getty House, the official residence of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, has listed the home at $2,995,000. The listing is here.
--As the Real Estalker previously reported, Brad Garrett has dropped the price on his Hidden Hills home from $9,495,000 to $8,790,000.
