NYC And Hamptons Hotels Partner For Ulitmate Summer Package

Filed under: Luxury Travel & Hotels

It's the question that plagues every New Yorker during the summer: to stay or not to stay? But thanks to a new partnership between The Greenwich Hotel and East Hampton Point Resort you don't have to choose.

The six night package splits your time evenly between both properties, giving you three days in the City and three out east. It begins at The Greenwich Hotel, Robert De Niro's 88-room luxury property in Manhattan's tony Tribeca neighborhood. There you'll receive a superior room, breakfast for two (daily), Champagne and fruit upon arrival, two "Shibui Toner" spa treatments, and dinner for two in the private, outdoor garden of the critically acclaimed Locanda Verde. Then it's off to the beach via a Hampton Luxury Liner, where you'll be put up in one of East Hampton Point's luxe bungalows. Breakfast comes delivered each morning, courtesy of Mary's Marvelous in Amagansett, and dinner for two awaits at the resort's restaurant. To get you through the middle of the day a picnic lunch at Georgica Beach, East Hampton's prime summer locale, has been arranged (car service to the beach, or passes for those with their own vehicles is also provided). The resort can also schedule tee times, book a private shopper or place a preferred dinner reservation. Now when you're asked if you're staying in the City or going to the Hamptons the correct response is, "yes."

(packages start at $4,600 plus tax)

Visit the Grand Canyon without the Crowds

Filed under: Luxury Travel & Hotels

Photo of the Grand CanyonIt's that time of year when the National Parks beckon, and the mother lode of those parks is definitely the Grand Canyon. But if the idea of battling crowds in ill-fitting shorts, wielding dripping ice cream cones makes you a little queasy, the InterContinental Montelucia in Scottsdale has a better plan in mind.

The Grand Canyon Spectacular Package starts aboard a private jet, for the couple-of-hundred mile journey to the park. Then you board a helicopter below the rim, for champagne and h'ors d'oeuvres on the Colorado River.

Okay, that wasn't exactly a workout, but the package includes a full day of spa treatments with as many treatments as you can squeeze in. Joya Spa wasn't just an afterthought at Montelucia, it's a destination in its own right -- it would be a stretch to say it's the Grand Canyon of spas, but it's really big: 31,000 square feet, and all done in Moorish theme, as is the rest of the property.

As part of this package, your unlimited treatments are executed in the spa's biggest private suite, the Grand Palace, which has its own wrap-around deck and a view of Camelback Mountain. The package also includes four nights in the hotel's signature suite, car service to the airport, dinner at the resort's well-regarded restaurant Spanish restaurant Prado, with wine pairings. Cost: $9,995 (double occupancy) excluding tax and service charge.

Unlimited Plastic Surgery Package in the Hamptons for $500,000

I'm amazed it's taken somebody this long to come up with the idea of an all-inclusive plastic surgery package, unless I'm just out of the loop? Either way, if you're into cosmetic surgery and have both a long "wish list" of procedures and a pretty much bottomless wallet it might be a fun deal to go rent a house in the Hamptons for the summer and spend your days getting fixed up in surgery and your nights recovering in luxury. Dr. Stephen Greenburg of Park Avenue is now offering this service in the form of a $500,000 package deal that includes a Hamptons luxury home rental on the beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day, unlimited plastic surgery procedures ("within reason"), a full-time nurse, a chauffeur, a mix of exclusive invites to VIP and celebrity parties, and even a shopping allowance so you can get a new wardrobe to go with your new body.

Wanna do it? What procedures would you get?

Filed under: Luxury Travel & Hotels

Talk about the trip of a lifetime! The "Around the World in 80 Ways" package is, of course, a tribute to the famous film "Around the World in 80 Days," and was created by The Leading Hotels of the World Ltd. as part of a fundraiser benefiting Elton John's AIDS Foundation. The trip was created as a celebration of the coinciding 80th anniversaries of the Academy Awards and The Leading Hotels of the World Ltd., and is LHW's effort to combine film and luxury travel into an extraordinary "Oscar-worthy" experience. The package covers the globe with gourmet meals, luxurious spa treatments, and tours of the local landscapes in exotic locales like Jaipur, Dubai, and Hong Kong, plus some more close-to-home destinations like London, New York, and San Francisco. Sounds like a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience -- see the details below.

Girls Night In Package at CordeValle

Filed under: Luxury Travel & Hotels

cordevalleMost golf getaways are aimed at gentlemen so it's nice to see that CordeValle, a Rosewood resort in San Martin, California, is offering a two-night retreat designed for women who like to hit the links too. Their "Girls Night In" package offers every possible amenity at the resort. The getaway will offer indulgence in the form of a spa party at the CordeValle spa including two Vinotherapy treatments, a manicure and pedicure. The package also includes a one-hour golf lesson on the Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed course, a tour and wine tasting at Clos LaChance, CordeValle's on-site winery, dinner at the resort and breakfast delivered to the your accommodations.

Accomodations are in a Fairway Home, shown above, a four-bedroom space that has a landscaped garden, deep soaking tubs, open fires and patios. The "Girls' Night In" package starts at $2400 per person for two-nights in a Fairway Home. Since men like spas these days and women like golf it seems to me like maybe they ought to offer more gender-netural themed packages. The Spouse-Free Special perhaps?
