As part of the company's overall "HSN Cares" philanthropic campaign, the heART collection is available exclusively on HSN and hsn.com featuring ornaments designed by more than 70 HSN partners. The profits (no less than 30 percent of the purchase price of each ornament) will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. St. Jude is the first and only pediatric cancer center to be designated as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Cancer Institute and works on finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases.

The collection features ornaments designed by Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwen Stefani, Mary J. Blige, Sean Combs, Tori Spelling, Molly Sims, Martha Stewart, Susan Lucci, Jonathan Adler, Nate Berkus, Padma Lakshmi and many others. The collection ranges in price from $19.90 to $49.90, with the exception of the ornament by fashion designer Naeem Khan. That ornament, shown at right, is covered in brilliant, hand-cut Swarovski crystals and sells for $299.

Glittering Ornaments Bring Little Luxuries

We've already highlighted Swarovski's Annual Edition Ornament for 2008 but the luxury-minded shopper may have more sparkling needs in the ornament department. This iconic crystal company is offering sixteen other options for glamorous gifts or tree bling at your own home. Snowflakes are the most common design but angels, trees, stars and stockings with a touch of tasteful color will also ring in the holiday season beautifully. Even babies aren't forgotten with the pacifier- or duckie-shaped ornaments to commemorate a first holiday. Faberge's ornaments, available at Neiman Marcus, showcase a familiar egg-shape of mouth-blown glass with delicately handpainted designs. Jay Strongwater's Musical Ornaments at Saks add a sense of frivolity to your tree with a touch of Swarovski bling too. And Bergdorf Goodman is selling L'Objet's Pagoda Ornament which is14K gold-plated and adorned in freshwater pearls and, again, Swarovski Crystals.

A bejeweled tree is bound to make quite a statement during your holiday gathering and an even bigger impression as a gift.

Glass Raindrops

Few things in nature are more beautiful than the early morning sunlight glinting off a tree that has been kissed with dew in the night. The little drops of water are like nature's ornaments and the only way you're going to reproduce the effect inside is with multiple sets of Glass Raindrops. Each of these drops is 1-inch long and is sold in a set of 24. A few sets, along with a string of lights, would make a Christmas tree look amazing. Price: $15 per set ($12, on sale).

Luxist Holiday Guide: Classy Christmas Ornaments

There is no limit to the number of ornaments you can add to your home or to your Christmas tree over the holidays. Unlike just about every other type of decoration, ornaments can be as dissimilar as snowflakes and a display can still look stunning when taken as a whole. It does help to start our your collection with some beautiful ornaments and these are some of the best that we have seen this season.

Gucci's Holiday Catalog has a lot of gifts that anyone would feel privileged to find in their stocking, including two limited edition holiday ornaments. The Holly Ornament (pictured) is a flat brass disc with engravings of holly and the Gucci logo. It hangs from a green and red web ribbon. 20% of all the sales from the catalog will be donated to Unicef. Price: $155.

Tiffany Snowflake Ornament

If crystal ornaments aren't your style and you prefer to have a tree that is elegantly decked out in metallic silver and gold, perhaps with a touch of white to simulate snow, this elegant snowflake ornament from Tiffany's might be more your style. The intricate snowflake is 3 inches in diameter and is made of sterling silver. If you don't want to hang it on the tree, it would also look lovely just hung against a window, catching the winter sunlight. Price: $175.

Swarovski 2006 Annual Ornaments

There is no better way to add a bit of bling to your tree than with some of the elegant crystal ornaments from Swarovski. Diamonds, in fairness, would be better but to get ones of this size to cover the tree would be cost prohibitive, to say the least. Unlike the rest of Swarovski's ornament line, these three are only produced for 2006 and have the year engraved on them. The Angel ($95) was designed by Mario Dilitz and has matte skin with a crystal body. The Santa Kris Bear ($95) has a rhodium-plated trim on its hat and scarf and the signature Christmas Ornament ($65), designed by Anton Hirzinger, sparkles in multi-faced brilliance.

Anthropologie Seaside Ornaments

Anthropologie, the clothing store which creates a uniquely antique-meets-vintage-funky vibe in their locations, has a line of holiday ornaments in the same vein. The line ranges from cutesy felt ornaments in animal shapes to elegant blown glass balls and my favorite, their seaside line, a series of ocean designs including mermaids with velvet tails and glass sea creatures and jeweled fish. Prices range from around $8 to $28.

Sweet Treats for Your Tree

Sur La Table has gone sweet this Christmas. They have a whole series of blown glass ornaments created by artisans in Poland that are designed to resemble delicious treats. There are the cupcakes shown here, oranges, pineapples and strawberries dipped in chocolate and little petit fours in wrappers that have clips you can attach anywhere. The cupcakes sell for $9.95 each. Combine all of these and you could have the most sugarcentric theme tree ever.
