million.

From the
NY Post Gimme Shelter:
-- Billionaire Ron Burkle wants
to spend "up to $50 million" for a larger Manhattan apartment. Given the market something tells me this won't
be a problem. He looked at one of our favorites,
704
Broadway, famous for its rooftop pool which was used in a "Sex and the City" episode. The apartment
has now been temporarily pulled after at least a year on the market. Burke also tried his luck at Trump World Tower but
his offer for a 17,000 square-foot duplex was rejected.
--George Clooney is filing in Bedford New York at a
Westchester mansion that is on the market for $18 million (shown above).
The listing is
here. Clooney goes to Bedford over the next few days.
--A 50-acre plot of land in the Hamptons has sold for
$33 million to a developer.
From the
NY
Times Big Deal:--House hunting is tough even for billionaire, François Pinault was turned down at 50
Gramercy Park North after a long negotiation. Apparently Mr. Pinault, who owns Christie's had a lot of
demands.
--Yet another fussy billionaire, David Geffen has paid $31.5 million for an apartment that was originally
listed at $39 million. The apartment is on the top two floors of 810 Fifth Avenue, at 62nd Street, the other part
of a triplex once owned by Nelson A. Rockefeller.
--NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue, and his wife, Chandler,
sold their Park Avenue co-op in January to Marne Obernauer Jr., an owner of the Colorado Rockies baseball team. The
three-bedroom apartment, at 885 Park Avenue, at 78th Street, was listed for $9 million. He bought a much smaller co-op
which was listed for $3.5 million.
From the
NY Observer's
Manhattan Transfers:--Michael Calderone takes a long look at
30 Crosby. Now that Courtney Love has left the building, those in
search of pricey but less high-profile digs are quietly clustering around 30 Crosby. Maybe this means there is hope for
Lenny Kravitz's home which is undergoing a redecoration before being listed again.
