Outfit Your Nano in an $800 Titanium Case

People are serious about their iPods, there's no doubt about that, but are they $800 serious? The FACTRON Re-Nano case is betting on it, made of pure titanium (titanium!) and ending up quite industrial-looking. Priced at just over $800, of all the iPod designs it will only fit the nano -- which doesn't make much sense to me. Either make a version for all the iPods, or if you only want to make one at least make it for the biggest and baddest of the iPods, not the younger brother version.

I love my nano, but believe you me I'm not spending five times more on the case than I did on the gadget itself! Not unless it's a heck of a lot cuter than this anyway.

Bottega Veneta iPod Nano Case

Bottega Veneta has recently introduced an iPod Nano case as part of its fall accessories line. It is great that more designers are taking note of the fact that people have more to carry than just a wallet or a cell phone these days, and this case is a perfect example of how to carry the delicate music player with style. The supple leather case comes in multiple colors, including the burnt orange shown here, and has a removable strap that can be used at need, if you prefer to loop you player around your neck than tuck it into a purse or carry it in-hand. Price: $390.

Pink Nano Tie

This article is dated February, but it slipped under my RADAR and is worth a mention in case you missed it too.  Thomas Pink, manufacturer of some fabulous shirts, has a tie with an iPod Nano holder on the inside.  How cool is that?  Listen to your Nano at work while still in business professional attire.  Nano incorporating clothing is nothing new, we covered a belt buckle not too long ago, but nothing in the luxury sector until the $100 "commuter" tie from Pink.

iPod Nano Now 1GB

Today Apple quietly announced a 1GB nano on their store for $149. Our friends over at Engadget speculate Apple may be phasing out the shuffle which now sells for $69 for 512MB. A 1GB nano for $149 seems a little steep and song capacity is now down to 240 songs. Still enough jams for that quick workout or walk around the block, but you won't be carrying you entire music library with you on vacation.

Tunebuckle

The accessories for the iPod never cease to amaze us. Our sibling Engadget has a look at the latest iPod fashion, the Tunebuckle. I'm guessing the waistline of people wearing the Tunebuckle is a thin is the nano.
