DoorLinX

Engadget just introduced us to DoorLinX, the world's first mp3-playing doorbell system from NetStreams. It has an integrated microphone, a speaker and, of course, the outdoor trigger button. The unit is operated with the help of a Streaming Music Manager, which locates and streams music for the operation of the doorbell. The release date is "soon" so we don't have a price yet, but being able to customize your doorbell in the same way you can customize your mobile ring tone seems like a great way to add some more individuality to your home.

iChair

It goes without saying that the iChair is a better idea than the iToilet. The plush chair is upholstered in a super-soft faux suede and has speakers built into the wings just above ear level. The sound is further enhanced by the subwoofer built into the base of the chair. There is a control panel and a pocket to hold an iPod while it is plugged in on the side of the chair. It also comes in black, which looks a bit more dignified than the sky blue pictured here, though the speakers are easier to see on the blue background. The black chair has black speakers, not grey. You can also take an interactive look at the chair here, complete with streaming music from the Veronicas and Tyler Hilton. Price: $399.

Toilet MP3 Player

How many times have you been in the bathroom and wished that you could listen to your favorite MP3s while you were in there? The Japanese have come to the rescue by designing a combination toilet/MP3 player, which also has an automated seat that moves up and down unaided. Since it is somewhat less mobile than an iPod, Apple probably won't feel too much competition from this gadget, but if you see an iToilet sometime in the future, you'll know where the inspiration came from.

We don't have the pricing information for the device, so why don't you tell us how much you'd be willing to pay for such a thing - if you want it at all.
