Aston Martin Concept Phone from Mobiado

Canadian luxury phone maker Mobiado is in Switzerland this week for the BaselWorld watch and jewelry show with the new CPT002 concept phone. Designed in collaboration with Aston Martin, the CPT002 is comprised of a fully transparent sapphire crystal capacitive touchscreen display suspended between two platinum bars that house all the electronics and battery.

Striking though it is, the CPT002 is more than just a pretty face. The tie-in with Aston Martin comes into play as the phone is designed to interface with the car's infotainment system, wirelessly interfacing with social media sites to help you locate the people you're meeting up with or updating them automatically on the progress of your road trip or day at the race track. The built-in accelerometer will also alert the car itself in case of an impending crash, preparing the car's safety systems for the imminent collision.

Impressive stuff, though strictly a concept for the time being.

Mobaido Stealth Phone

There's something very alluring about the word stealth when applied to gadgets, it implies something sleek and dark and subtle.The Mobiado Stealth is inspired by military stealth aircrafts. The front of the Stealth is machined from one piece of solid aluminum and inlaid with one piece of sapphire crystal. All lettering is machine engraved. The aluminum frame is created from aircraft aluminum which is filtered glass bead blasted, and then hard anodized coated to produce a very durable surface. No price is released yet and it is an edition of 1,200.

Mobiado Luminoso Phone

The luxury phones keep coming. Check out the latest from Mobiado. Their Luminoso is similar in design to their original phone, adds a bit of a curve and a whole lot of cool lighting. The Luminoso has a frame made of aircraft aluminum and sapphire crystal buttons. The phone has a dual lighting system that lights the keypad both from underneath and through the buttons. The 3G mobile phone will work with any GSM network operator. It has a 2 megapixel camera and video camera, surround sound through stereo speakers, Bluetooth technology and a music player. It sells for $1,700.

Perfume No. 919

Cell phone companies have been limiting their marketing capabilities by only coming out with new phones and accessories that directly relate to those phones. Phone-maker Mobiado has teamed up with Bissol, a fragrance firm, to create the first perfume specifically for luxury phone users. Perfume 919 is packaged in a black aluminum container with an individual serial number on each. The container vaguely resembles a phone circa the early 1990s. The perfume is described as having "a clean, fresh, youthful scent with top notes of mandarin, juniper berry, elemi; middle notes of white musk, bamboo, oakmoss; and base notes of vanilla, cedarwood, sandalwood."
