Charter the Mirabella V, The World's Largest Single Masted Yacht
Filed under: Yachts & Sailing

The sailing yacht Mirabella V is the largest sloop in the world: the single-masted vessel is 75-meters long (247 feet), and that mast also happens to be the world's tallest, with the world's largest sail attached to it. To give it some context, the mast, at 292 feet tall, is 80 feet too high to allow the Mirabella V to get under the Golden Gate bridge – or for that matter, any fixed bridge in the world.
Last year the seven-year-old Mirabella V was put up for sale for €49,000,000, and for the moment remains unsold. If you don't want to part with that much of your nest egg yet would still like to sample a sailboat with a hull deep enough to fit a double-decker bus, you can rent the sloop for $420,000 per week. That amount plus the 14 crew members will avail you and up to eleven other guests of six cabins, a gym, sauna, a 20-person jacuzzi and dipping pool, jet skis, ski boats, Lasers (masted dinghies), mechanized crow's nest and three R/C scale models of the very boat you're sailing on.
If you ever do need to get to land, there's also a 29-foot tender for the job – but as captain of the Mirabella V for a week, you're probably best letting land-lovers come to you...
