The Maritime Hotel of Chelsea, NY is getting into the Halloween spirit with its Seven Deadly Sins Package, a stay based around a seven-course meal designed to dazzle and tempt. The package is $495/night plus tax and includes a seven-course tasting menu for two at Matsuri, accommodations in a Queen Superior Guest room for two, a complimentary bottle of red wine upon arrival and a 2 p.m. late checkout the following morning. Matsuri is a Japanese restaurant that specializes in a Japanese tapas cuisine, a series of elegant small plates. Chef Tadashi Ono launched Matsuri in 2003 to showcase his modern Japanese style. He is also the coauthor of "Japanese Hot Pots," (Ten Speed Press) a cookbook about Japan's favorite comfort food. The restaurant also has its own sake sommelier.
