The World's Most Expensive Marmalade
Another fancy foodstuff has been announced. The Britsh jam firm Duerr's has created a pricey marmalade with edible gold. The world's most expensive marmalade was created to mark the company's 125th anniversary and costs £5,000 for a 1kg jar. The crystal jar contains marmalade made with 62-year-old Dalmore whisky, vintage Pol Roger champagne, and edible gold. What does it taste like? The writer at The Independent tried it out and found it to be boozier and more tangy than usual. The jar will be auctioned on the internet for the Manchester Kids charity.
