Laduree And Louboutin Collaborate On Gift Boxes

Fashion and food meet in the adorable new boxes that shoe god Christian Louboutin has created for Laduree, the French maker of delicately delicious macaroons. There are three different gift boxes decorated with Louboutin shoes and purses. The lid is designed to have a torn trompe l'oeil effect that gives a hint as to the contents. Vogue UK reports that the macaroons inside have Mediterranean flavors courtesy of pastry chef Philippe Andrieu. The treats will be available from September 11 and will start at £9.80 for a box of six.

Laduree Open in Harrods

The delectable French tearoom Laduree has opened a location in my favorite department store, Harrods. Laduree, known for their heavenly macaroons and other sweets has taken over 350 square meters of space on the ground floor and opened a restaurant serving light meals and yummy things. The over-the-top decor is par for Harrods and brings a bit of Napoleon III style to a Victorian building that already has an Egyptian escalator bank. After shopping for hours, doesn't a Black Truffle Omelet and a Gingerbread Macaroon sound good?
