The lovely new L.U.C 1937 is a very simple
Chopard watch for 2010 that has one of their well-regarded in-house made L.U.C movements. This one is an automatic and a COSC certified Chronometer. It is simple as well, with just the time and the date. Called the 1937 as a "vintage style" piece, the watch is very pretty with its easy to read dial with Roman numeral hour markers and that neat looking red seconds hand. The dial is a slate gray color and quite unique in its look among similar three-hand classic pieces. Part of that has to do with the unique style of hands. The case is in steel and 42mm wide with polished and satin finishes. Water resistance is 100 meters, and the watch has a unique crown that is placed at 4 o'clock. Well, at least unique by classy watch standards. Inside the watch is a Chopard made calibre. 1.010 automatic movement. It is meant to be simple, accurate, and beautiful. It is exposed through the sapphire caseback window. The L.U.C 1937 is a great anniversary watch for the brand that is trying to assert itself as more than just a fashion brand. Lovely proportions and limited to 1,937 pieces. Hopefully the price won't be too high.
