Sub 3 Wheeler

This weekend at the Los Angeles Concours I had the chance to check out the SUB 3 Wheeler, the blocky little speedster shown above. The three-wheeler was designed for minimal weight and maximum speed. it has a Suzuki TL1000R V twin engine which is located next to the driver. It has a handbuilt TIG welded frame, a fiberglass body and three wheels with motorcycle tires. It weighs a light 750 pounds. They are working on production which will be limited to just 25. The cost is estimated at $80,000 with a $25,000 security deposit. It looked a bit out of place next to the race cars but it looks like it would be great fun to take for a spin. Pictures From the Los Angeles Concours d'Elegance

We didn't have the the best weather for it but it was still a lovely day for the first annual Los Angeles Concours d'Elegance which was held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. In fact, we were probably lucky to have gray weather, the effect of bright sun on all those highly-waxed surfaces could be blinding. There were so many gorgeous cars there that I filled the entire memory card of my camera with Ferraris, Mercedes, Aston Martins, Packards and Bugattis. It was my first chance to check out a gullwing Mercedes. I once quibbled over the price of these but now I get it. They are stunning. After the jump, lots and lots and lots of car pictures.
