Today's estate in Heber City, Utah offers the luxury of your own private lake. Jackson Modern, Estate of the Day

This might be my favorite Jackson, Wyoming home yet. It's a great modern riff on the log cabin. Glass and wood dominate the contemporary home which sits on five acres atop gated North Gros Ventre Butte. The home's large glass windows offer gorgeous mountain views. The beige-on-beige color scheme isn't the most thrilling I have seen but the spare design means that you can bring your modern furniture to your Wyoming home and it won't look horribly out of place. This home is listed at $7.25 million.

Almost Idaho Ranch, Estate of the Day

The name is the Almost Idaho Ranch for obvious reasons, it is right near the Washington/Idaho border (although it is in Washington). The ranch has three homes including the 6634 sq. ft. main home. There is also a log guest home, an outdoor entertainment porch, a miner's cabin, barns, corrals, sheds and more. It is listed at $10.8 million. After the jump, your own private lake, it makes you feel tranquil just looking at it.

Ashe County Log Cabin, Estate of the Day

As much as I love choosing homes for estate of the day posts, I also love it when people send in tips, highlighting homes I never would have found on my own. Today's estate, courtesy of tipster Higher Ground, is a deluxe log cabin in Ashe County, North Carolina. The home is built with huge logs of hemlock harvested in Virginia and sits on 12 acres with a creek and views. It also sets next to 2000 acres of game land on Three Top Mountain for added privacy. The five-bedroom home has more than 3,800 square feet of space. The great room features a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and the entire home features luxury amenities such as granite and maple butcher-block counters. The master suit has a private covered balcony and a master bath with a whirlpool tub and heated ceramic tile floors. The loft serves as an exercise room. The deck includes speakers, a hot tub, refrigerator and a grill. It is listed at $1.3 million. After the jump, beams everywhere, even in the bathrooms.

Teton Village, Estate of the Day

This home definitely doesn't look like a cookie cutter log home. The five-bedroom home in pricey Teton Village, Wyoming has its own take on what it means to be Western. The home has a unique combo of wood and stone that gives it a bit of an enchanted cottage feel (although at over 7,200 square feet it's far from tiny). Exterior details include several large deck/patio areas with large in-ground hot tub bordered by a year round stream. It also has an office and a bunk room for the kids. It is listed at $9.25 million. After the jump, check out the cowboy tile mural in the kitchen.
