L'Esprit de June Wine Blossom Liqueur

L'Esprit de June Liqueur
L'Esprit de June is an exotic vine flower liqueur created from grape blossoms. L'Esprit de June, also called June Liqueur, is created by combining the vine flower distillates of three different grape varietals with a grape spirit base in an effort to capture the essence of French vineyards in the springtime. All hand-picked and combined using French wine-making methods, Ugni Blanc flowers add flavors of pear and peach, Merlot flowers contribute aromas of wild strawberry and cherry, and Cabernet Sauvignon blooms bring notes of strawberry, raspberry, and violet.

L'Esprit de June launched in New York earlier this year and is now available in most U.S. markets. Look for it in a pretty sunset orange-topped bottle for $29.99.

LOFT Organic Liqueurs

Liqueurs from LOFT Liqueurs appear to have it going on from all angles: they come in decadent and unique flavors (i.e. Lavender, Lemongrass, and Spicy Ginger), they're handcrafted in small batches, and they're the first liqueurs in the country to be 100% certified organic.

Just two years ago LOFT Liqueurs was started by two women, Lisa Averbuch and Sabrina Moreno-Dolan, and was originally born through Lisa's experimentation with a random limoncello recipe. Besides the 3 standard flavors LOFT is looking to expand, starting with seasonal flavors like Tangerine and Blueberry. Look for LOFT Liqueurs in restaurants in California and you can buy them online here for $29.99/bottle.

Baileys Rolls Out Two New Flavors

Baileys Irish Cream has created two new flavors. Baileys is now available in caramel and mint chocolate flavors. They will be available all over the U.S. in March and have already been introduced in Arizona. An intrepid overseas blogger has already seen and sampled (he says the caramel is too strong and the mint a bit weak but worth a second try). The 750ml bottles sell for $18.99.

Gotham Vodka

I haven't tasted anything from C3 Brands yet so I can't really comment on what's inside but they definitely have worked on the exterior. They have three lines, Gotham vodka (shown here), Cafe de Nuit coffee liqueur and Batuque, a Brazilian Cachaça (the main ingredient in a caipirinha). The porcelain bottles are made at their factory in Brazil and the spirits are "ultra-premium spirits, distilled in small batches." A quote on their website from the Beverage Tasting Institute says that the vodka has pastry frosting and cream flavors and finishes with a light touch of peppery spice and talc. I don't think I've ever heard a vodka described as tasting like frosting before, sounds a bit scary.
