$62,000 Diamond Studded Lipstick

French cosmetics house Guerlain is releasing KissKiss Gold and Diamonds this week, and for the $62,000 price tag you'll get a consultation with Guerlain's artistic director Olivier Echaudemaison and a lipstick shade customized just for you that comes in an 18-karat gold lipstick tube encrusted with 199 conflict-free diamonds, plus rubies and emeralds. It can be engraved and comes in a black lacquer case with a suede pouch.

Sound good? Get ready to make an appointment, as they will only be available at Bergdorf Goodman via private consultation.

DNA11 Kiss Portraits

DNA11, a company which we have covered before for their personalized artwork offerings has a new idea, using a lipstick print as art. The process begins with a Kiss collection kit that includes M.A.C. Viva Glam lipstick. You apply the lipstick and make a lip print on the provided sheets. The sheets are then sent in and the company creates artwork from your kiss. The kiss can be ordered in a variety of colors and sizes which start at $290. A portion of every Kiss portrait goes toward the towards the M·A·C Aids fund.

When I saw the handsome visage of Edward Bess in the October issue of W, I was intrigued. This handsome boy, a mere 20 years old, wants to sell high-priced make-up? I have to admire his brio, no small indie line for Edward Bess he is starting off by launching the Edward Bess Lip Wardrobe,a high-priced collection of ten lipsticks and five glosses in a black lacquer case. The luscious lip collection has a scent of wild fig and sells for a cool $350 only at Bergdorf Goodman. Want to check out the well-cheekboned Mr. Bess in person? Bobbi Brown Chocolate Collection

Chocolate plus cosmetics? It brings to mind childhood and Bonne Bell lip glosses but with makeup magician Bobbi Brown and Vosges Haut Chocolat involved, this is a treat for grownups. WWD has the details on Brown's new limited-edition fall color collection which was inspired by chocolate. Bobbie Brown also has created a dark milk chocolate Beauty Bar. The $6 bar will be on sale starting in July at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and four freestanding Vosges stores. The bar includes one of the "it" ingredients of the moment, matcha green tea which is supposed to speed up the metabolism. Brown's chocolate-themed makeup includes an eyeshadow palette, Chocolate Cherry nail polish, blushes and lip duos and also goes on sale in July. Alas, they are not flavored.
