Filed under: Timepieces / Watches, Sports

In preparation for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London England, official timekeeper Omega has announced their first limited production watch for the event. The watch is the Seamaster Aqua Terra collection, and is the "Omgea Seamaster Aqua Terra 44 London Chronograph" watch. In a 44mm wide steel case, the watch contain an Omega Co-Axial automatic chronograph movement and has a textured metallic blue dial. There will also be a solid 18k rose gold version that will look really nice with the blue dial. On the rear of the watch will be some special engraving for the event.

Omega will need to put in some extra effort this time around as their "official timekeeper" clock to countdown the coming of the London Olympics officially broke down and needed to be quickly repaired. Even in the world of high-end timekeeping - things can go wrong. Look for this new Seamaster Aqua Terra 44 London Chronograph timepiece soon.

Breitling Navitimer 01 Limited Edition Watch With In-House Movement

After its debut in the Breitling B01 collection watches, the in-house made Breitling Caliber 01 automatic chronograph movement enters a new watch - this time the Breitling super-classic, the Navitimer. Probably the most recognizable Breitling watch collection of all time, the Navitimer has been around since 1952 and epitomizes the Breitling pilot watch. I think it was this timepiece that made the slide rule bezel popular. And since 1952 only 10 people have actually used the slide rule feature!

There really isn't much different about this Navitimer versus other models that don't have the Caliber 01 movement. Though the movement is COSC Chronometer certified. The watch is a limited edition (of 2000 pieces), and is said to be a bit larger than standard Navitimer in a 43mm wide case. The watch is available in either 18k rose gold or steel. Case is nicely polished and has everything you expect in a Navitimer in terms of function and quality.

The One-Of-A-Kind Ferrari 575GTZ

Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

The man in this picture should look far happier. He is Ferrari collector Yoshiyuki Hayashi and he is standing next to his own one-of-a-kind Ferrari 575GTZ. The car was build by Zagato and is based on the Ferrari 575 Maranello and inspired by the first Ferrari special made by the Ferrari  coachbuilder way back in the Fifties. The car gets its official debut at the  Villa d'Este concours d'elegance in Italy later this month. It looks a bit faux vintage ala the Ford Thunderbird but is still a pretty hot car.
