Palazzo: Now Open

Filed under: Luxury Travel & Hotels

It isn't very often that a new hotel joins the regulars on the strip so the recent opening of Palazzo has made quite a stir in Sin City. Neighbors with the Venetian, this 50-story, $1.9 billion luxury hotel hosted its grand opening over the weekend with VIP events, a private party at the 40/40 Club with Pat Monohan from Train performing, and a culminating celebration of Luminaries and Legends hosted by Wayne Brady and starring Diana Ross. Other performances included Seal, Andy Garcia and the Cineson All-Stars, and the cast of smash-hit Broadway musical, Jersey Boys. Of course the luxurious amenities will entertain for years to come for those of us who weren't invited for the weekend.

Vegas has New Eyecandy to Display and Drink

Filed under: Gadgets, Luxury Travel & Hotels, Spirits

If you're planning a trip to Sin City a night out at Eyecandy in Mandalay Bay is a must. The geeky and modern tech driven types are sure to drool over this cocktail lounge's interactive touch tables, lighted dance floor and sound stations. But certainly the drink and dance inclined will not be disappointed in this personalized, "bring your own iPod and change the color schemes" experience. Drink prices seem pretty normal ($6 to $10) but the hourly rate of $200 may be more than many can handle -- I'm thinking I would gamble on Blackjack before a big night out to win the money for Eyecandy enjoyment. Twenty-one!!
