Donovan Leitch Jr.'s Boho Hideaway, Estate of the Day
Filed under: Estates, Celebrity Shopping

The model and the musician, it's one of Hollywood's most abiding cliches. The girl with the pose, pose, pose and the long and lean man on stage making with the loud and lascivious music is not always a match for the ages but it sure makes for some interesting stories (and in some cases these pairups do go the distance). Today's estate belongs to just such a coupling, Donovan Leitch Jr., son of 60s musician Donovan (Leitch Jr. is himself a product of a rocker/model union) and one of the peripatetic members of Camp Freddy, a band that includes Jason Nesmith (son of Mike Nesmith of the Monkees) and Dave Navarro. The band also hosts a radio show on a local L.A. radio station. As Bob from Celebrity Big Time Listings reports Donovan Letich Jr. has bought a home for $1.435 million in Studio City and is selling his Hollywood Hills home. The home includes a two-bedroom main house, a guest apartment and a separate studio. No pool but there is a nice patio. The home is of the type that you often find in Los Angeles, a Spanish-style home dating from the 1920s. It's charming but tiny. No decorator has been here but there have definitely been some decorating ideas, albeit of the wacky bohemian sort. Beaded chandeliers, velvet couches, ironic art and tiled tiny bathrooms all add to a relaxed home that just looks like it smells of incense. The tiled kitchen is darling but definitely not for those who crave stainless steel and granite. It is listed at $1.099 million.
