Indian Cloth Hooded Scarf

Looking more like a sweater than a scarf, Indian Cloth's Hooded Scarf ($620) will certainly keep you warm. It features a heavy double knit of baby alpaca, a hood, and the length provides an extra layer of warmth underneath a long sweater coat or winter jacket. Although the front is quite long, the back hits right above your waist, which seem like a disadvantage, but I suppose it would be then be considered a hooded sweater at that point.

Given its length, button front and double front pockets, you could wear it as a sweater. Or if you prefer, the Hooded Scarf could be left unbuttoned and wrapped around your neck. Seen here in charcoal, it's also available in army and orche

Chloe Punto Milano Pants

Chole's Punto Milano Pants unexpectedly infuse the casualness of sweatpants with trousers. While that description sounds pretty unflattering, creative designer Hannah MacGibbon, actually translates this look quite well into a wearable ensemble. Granted, it seems wearable for someone who is tall and pretty slim, but nonetheless, it is wearable.

The Punto Milano Pants ($1495) are made from a cashmere/camel/alpaca mix and features a ribbed high waist, harem style legs with ribbed banded cuffs. They look best with its matching jacket and then paired with a pale colored blouse, preferably something silky, as shown above. I love the contrast between a dressy material like silk against a casually styled suit. The whole outfit has a definite 70's chic vibe to it that celebrates a woman's seductiveness without putting her body on full display.

Missoni Silk Knit Sweater

Layering is key for surviving in transitional weather. It allows you to be prepared and comfortable no matter what you may encounter. While you'll need a little extra time to figure out what to wear, without looking like you just threw anything on that would provide warmth, it's worth the extra minute or two.

Missoni's Silk Knit Sweater ($450) would serve as a fashionable layering piece. Made with lightweight silk knit in a rose and coral shade, you can pair with a long sleeve shirt or a tank depending on the weather.

I especially like the unexpected pop of color given by a vibrant coral strip running along the side. The batwing sleeves are full with a scalloped edge with a cream trim along the bottom. Thankfully, Missoni's oversized sweater has a belt, which will offer you some shape.

Stella McCartney Zip Up Cardigan

A sweater can't get any cozier and stylish than Stella McCartney's Zip Up Cardigan ($1635). It is slightly bulky in the bodice and roomy in the arms. The oversized neck - when zipped up - can either fold beautifully around your shoulders creating a cocoon effect or hang in excess at your chest. McCartney's warm and luxurious sweater has a banded hem and wrists completing its oversized yet sleek silhouette. And the pockets are perfect for snuggling into your sweater during those spine-bending-cold Fall and Winter days. Pair with leggings or jeans and tall flat boots for a casual yet chic outfit.

Tory Burch Amulet Messenger Bag, Handbag of the Day

It's definitely sweater season but how about wearing your sweater on your bag. The Tory Burch 'Amulet' messenger bag is done in leather with a nautical logo crest and a flap front that includes a swath of cable-knit sweater. The bag would be the perfect choice for casual weekend adventures. It measures 12 1/2"W x 11"H x 3"D and has 7" drop or 15" - 19" with the shoulder strap. Inside there is a pocket for your cell phone. It's also available in black with black leather which might be a better choice because as adorable as the ivory is I can see that it would get dirty fast. This bag sells for $475.

Celebs Love Juul's Designs

TMZ mentioned that Hollywood's A-listers and other celebrities, including Mary-Kate Olsen, Heather Graham, Brooke Shields and Melania Trump, are loving the collections of designer Suzanne Juul, who uses all-natural bamboo fibers in her cutting-edge knitted designs. Ultra-soft and figure-skimmingly sexy, the clothing is versatile, "unique and mysterious." It is also expensive, with prices going up to more than $400 for a Mohair and Merino Wool sweater, but well worth it considering the quality of the pieces. Still only available at a handful of stores, this is one designer who won't be going out of style anytime soon.

Suri and Shiloh Sweaters

I have heard it said that there is a knitting craze among the Hollywood hot list, but it seems rather unlikely that they're sitting at home knitting sweaters when Los Angeles is in the midst of a major heat wave. But it might be true because a popular LA knitting store, Suss Designs, is now selling sweaters inspired by Suri Cruise and Shiloh Jolie- Pitt. Suri's sweater is emblazoned with her initial, while the Shiloh sweater has two cartoon faces that might represent Brangelina's other kids, Zahara and Maddox. The sweaters are selling for $109 (Shiloh) and $89 (Suri) at Suss's LA boutique.
