In the world of yachting, price is
normally not a big selling point and most yacht builders would never advertise a price for a multi-million dollar yacht
merely to show what a great deal it is.
Kingship has decided to change the
status quo. While thumbing through a yachting publication, I came across an ad for Kingship, with the price of their
new 110' motoryacht posted as pretty-as-you-please along with the phrase, "a fair price." I'm sure there are
Feadship and
Benetti execs rolling in
the floor at this shameless display of pricing, but in the world "mass-tige," the old dogs better watch out
for these value-priced builders.
The 110' yacht is nice looking and filled with the things we've come to
expect in motoryachts these days. Aiming to compete with Benetti's Classic and Tradition line, this yacht comes in at
almost half the price of a Classic. At $7.9 million, you get 5 staterooms, a skylounge, and a 5,000 nautical mile
range, perfect for cruising anywhere. It comes as no surprise that this yacht is manufactured in China by people
working 24-hour shifts and living on-site for 11 months. All of this information is displayed proudly on their website.
