Kimberly McDonald Ursus Maritimus Jewelry

I've mentioned jewelry designer Kimberly McDonald's geode designs before. Recently she unveiled her Ursus Maritimus collection. The name of the collection is the scientific classification for the polar bear. The designs feature small polar bears in white diamond-ringed geodes that resemble caves. McDonald was inspired by global warming and 10% of each sale will be donated to Conservation International.

Jewelry designer Kimberly McDonald combines the worlds of fine jewelry and mineral collecting with Rockras, jewelry that combines geodes and agate with diamonds and sapphires. Each bespoke piece of Rockras jewelry is made by hand in the United States. The earrings shown here feature pink sapphires and rose cut diamonds.
