The Keybrid

The KeybridThe first thing that came to mind when I saw this keyring from Scott Amron was the Jon Franklin quote: "Simplicity, carried to an extreme, becomes elegance."

Also called the Split-Ring-Key, this refreshing, unexpected hybrid key-and-keyring can be brought to your local key cutter, who can craft it to fit any regular KW1 or SC1 keyholes. At just $3.50 each, this is one of those luxuries that won't break the bank.

Amron, who also brought us the black leather bandaids this past summer, has a number of cool and outside-the-box usable-art ideas on his website. We also love this wine stopper, which looks like a talon digging into your bottle. Very goth chic.

Would You Wear Donald Trump Jewelry?

Oh no, Trump is at it again. He already has a watch line, now he is in the jewelry business. This may just be the first time he has followed one of his children into a business rather than vice versa, his daughter Ivanka has already announced a jewelry line. The Donald J. Trump Signature Fine Jewelry Collection will be manufactured by jewelry manufacturer SHR, a division of M. Fabrikant & Sons. The new collection of men's jewelry includes rings, cuff links, bracelets, money clips and key rings that feature diamonds, gold and gemstones. Prices range from $95 for a simple steel keychain emblazoned with the Trump crest to $5,000 for a gold, onyx and diamond bracelet.

Bottega Veneta Mini Purse Key Ring, Handbag of the Day

Possibly the tiniest functional purse I've see, this Mini Purse Key Ring from Bottega Veneta is worthy of Cute Overload. Attached to a 9-inch chain, the little purse is about 2" high and made of soft, supple leather. It has a tiny clasp at the top, opening the bag to slip in a few well-folded bills or a couple of coins, and comes in both white and green. The chain also has a keyring and a belt hook, making it easy to attach and carry around with you. Price: $200.

Jack Spade Prison Key Ring

The Prison Key Rings from Jack Spade are the sort of thing you give, as a gift, to people who already have absolutely everything or just like to collect oddities. The handbraided horsehair knot tassels are made by inmates in a Montana prison. Each is threaded onto a 1.5" ring engraved with the Jack Spade logo. The tassels are 5" long and are available in a variety of colors, although you don't get to pick which color yours will be. Price: $75.

Louis Vuitton Jack & Lucie Keyring

Most designers don't go out of their way to put out something specifically for Halloween. Even though it is the third-most expensive holiday in terms of the money that is spent specifically on holiday items, a good deal of that money goes towards kids stuff and costumes, not other accessories. Louis Vuitton bucked the trend with a very cute keychain this year. The Jack & Lucie Keyring was a limited edition (rumored to be sold out by now) accessory offered just for Halloween. It features two lacquered heads - one of a Jack o' Lantern and one of a skull, named after the oldest human fossil, Lucie - with Swarovski crystal smiles. The back of each has the LV signature logo.
