Keyport Universal Key Fob

Shopping for the person who has everything can be quite a challenge. But chances are that hard-to-buy-for person on your gift list does not have this universal key fob from Keyport. It is a brilliant idea that was long overdue. Machined from aircraft grade aluminum, the Keyport integrates up to six keys into one slim device. Simply have your keys copied to a compatible blank, attach to the key fob and use the simple thumb-slide to access when needed. You will never have to deal with jagged keys poking holes in your pockets again. It works with all standard keys and is available with a built-in remote for your car and remote frequency identification for keyless entries. A limited edition first run is available now in four colors for $295.

Jack Spade Prison Key Ring

The Prison Key Rings from Jack Spade are the sort of thing you give, as a gift, to people who already have absolutely everything or just like to collect oddities. The handbraided horsehair knot tassels are made by inmates in a Montana prison. Each is threaded onto a 1.5" ring engraved with the Jack Spade logo. The tassels are 5" long and are available in a variety of colors, although you don't get to pick which color yours will be. Price: $75.

Louis Vuitton Jack & Lucie Keyring

Most designers don't go out of their way to put out something specifically for Halloween. Even though it is the third-most expensive holiday in terms of the money that is spent specifically on holiday items, a good deal of that money goes towards kids stuff and costumes, not other accessories. Louis Vuitton bucked the trend with a very cute keychain this year. The Jack & Lucie Keyring was a limited edition (rumored to be sold out by now) accessory offered just for Halloween. It features two lacquered heads - one of a Jack o' Lantern and one of a skull, named after the oldest human fossil, Lucie - with Swarovski crystal smiles. The back of each has the LV signature logo.

64-GB Flash Drive for Your Keychain

The problem with getting a nice external hard drive for your computer is that even the smaller ones are too big to fit in your pocket, not to mention that they need to be plugged in to a wall outlet to be useful. This tiny, keychain-sized USB drive from Buslink has 64-GB of storage, which might be enough to carry around the entire contents of your computer's main hard drive, if necessary, and more than enough room for photo albums and videos to share with relatives when you're traveling around during the holidays. You will have to pay for the convenience of its size, though. This little gadget is $5,740.

Platinum Mercedes Keychain

Thanks to an alert reader, I think we may have uncovered the most expensive keychain we have ever seen here at Luxist. Mercedes Benz Canada sells a keychain for $22,239.99 CAN (approx $19,900 USD). It is made from .950 platinum and the brushed finish bears the Mercedes logo on the sides, as well as an appliqued emblem on top. We're still wondering if they keychain includes anything with it - like a car.

They also carry an 18K gold (.750) keychain in the same style for $7,469.99 CAN.

Chloe Paddington Padlock Keychain

Megs over at The Purse Blog uncovers the Chloe Crystal Padlock Keychain on sale at Net-a-Porter. As fans of the ultra-hip Chloe Paddington bag know, it's distinguishing feature is an oversized padlock. The Chloe keychain strips the fashion down to its essence. The crystal-encrusted silver padlock has a silver leather panel with the 'Chloé' logo embossed on it and a large key and ring at ends of leather straps. This isn't the first time we've seen Chloe do a variation on the padlock theme but I'm wondering how long before they run out of padlock-themed gimmicks.
