Kate Spade Pippin Park Sets

Need a gift for a baby shower or a "first birthday party"? Kate Spade's Pippin Park Sets just might fit the bill. Most of the plate/cup sets that are produced for kids are made of plastic - and for good reason, since most kids cannot quite be trusted with the good china. These sets, however, are for kids who can. The plate, bowl and cup collections - with an elephant set for boys and a sheep set for girls - add a bit of elegance to children's dining, while still maintaining a high cuteness factor. Each piece is brightly colored and made from  fine, bone china, is lead-free and dishwasher safe. Price: $75.

All Kate Spade fans should take note that the designer's sample sale is going on right now. Everything in the sale section is up to 65% off, including handbags, baby items and accessories. Many of the handbags are under $100 and there are great iPod cases for less than $20! It would be very difficult to get a better price on Kate Spade shoes, as just about ever pair is well under $200.

The sale only lasts through June 15th, so there's not much time left to check out everything that is listed.

Kate Spade Hobby Picnic Tote

As fun as the gardening and book totes are, with their respective detailing of tools and eyeglasses, Kate Spade's Hobby Picnic Tote is just a little more fun. Perhaps it is the changing season that gets me thinking about picnics and outdoor activities, but it doesn't hurt that the bag has an appealing shadow screenprint of a knife, spoon and fork on the side. Made of red cotton with a bright yellow leather trim, the open-top tote has enough room to hold picnic supplies or everyday items, so you will always have to option to bring a little bit of the weekend in to the office with you on Monday. Price: $245.

Kate Spade "It" Bag

Is the word "it" on a bag enough to convince you a bag is in fact, an it bag? Fashion Week Daily covers the latest wacky idea from Kate Spade, a "special" canvas bag with the word it handpainted by Hugo Guinness on the corner. The very basic tote will be sold in a limited edition of 150 for $250 each. I stuck up for Kate and her cheeky Pop Love collection but I can't defend this one especially when I could get a durable LL Bean tote monogrammed with whatever I would like for far less.

Kate Spade Ashbury-Victoria Baby Bag

For the mothers out there who would still like to look fashionable but also need to carry around baby bottles and diapers, Kate Spade's Ashbury-Victoria Baby Bag is a great alternative to carrying around multiple bags. The brightly colored, psychedelic-like floral pattern gives it flare, yet its versatile enough that your outfits will still match. Made of nylon for easy cleaning, it features multiple pockets for all the essential baby needs and a polka dot changing pad. The shoulder drop is 11 1/2". Even when you're done with the diaper bag stage, you could still use this as a day bag. Price: $325.

Kate Spade Pop Love Collection

Kate Spade is the queen of cute and her Pop Love designs take a unique slant on saying I love you. The designs include an eye, a heart and a U which are used in a graphic design on several bags, on a keychain and decorating a bright red iPod case. The small manuela, shown here is a zippered case with double handles and three interior zip pockets. The bag sells for $80.
