Jon Hamm Wears Jeager-LeCoultre Reverso Grande 986 Watch

Jon Hamm, best known for his role in "Mad Men," is now working with Swiss luxury wrist watch brand Jaeger-LeCoultre. Hamm recently hosted a large watch event in New York City to help spread the word of Jaeger-LeCoultre's higher-end pieces including its massively complex Hybris Mechanica set (which I wrote about here). For the event, Hamm was wearing a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grande 986 watch. Looks good on him. The art deco inspired style isn't quite the 1960s mod look we are used to with him - but Hamm doesn't exactly "live" in the show. Looking good Hamm.

Aston Martin AMVOX5 World Chronograph by Jaeger-LeCoultre

Of all the automotive/watchmaking collaborations, few stand the test as well as that between Aston Martin and Jaeger-LeCoultre. The partnership has yielded an unparalleled range of timepieces. And the two have now teamed up again for their fifth collaboration, the AMVOX5 World Chronograph.

Driven by Jaeger's own in-house Calibre 752 movement, the AMVOX5 packs a column wheel, vertical clutch chronograph complication with a ceramic ball-bearing mechanism that obviates the need for lubrication. It's encased in either ceramic and titanium (300 examples) or 18-karat rose gold (200 examples), and will be joined by two 100-unit limited edition racing versions in the near future.

Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX2 Racing Paris Chronograph for Aston Martin

Filed under: Timepieces / Watches, Luxury Cars & Autos

Between Panerai and Ferrari, Breitling and Bentley and the countless other watchmaker-automaker collaborations, few are as convincing as Jaeger-LeCoultre and Aston Martin. The former's timepieces are every bit as alluring and finely-crafted as the latter's sportscars, but this has to be the finest yet.

The second of two special edition racing chronographs, the Jaeger-LeCoultre AMVOX2 Chronograph Racing Paris honors Aston's considerable Le Mans racing prowess. It features JLC's own 751E movement, just five and a half millimeters thick and an innovative system that allows the wearer to lock and unlock the doors of an Aston sportscar right from the watch itself. Pretty trick, and while there are many editions of the AMVOX2 available, only 24 examples of this particular one will be produced, available exclusively from the Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique on Place Vendome in Paris.
