The Perini Navi Cup, an annual super-luxe regatta in Sardinia dedicated to the world's most stylish sailing superyachts built by the famed Italian boatyard Perini Navi, is gearing up for its biggest year ever with an extra day of racing and help from some big-name sponsors.

Hundreds of millions of dollars worth of yachts, from the megabucks Maltese Falcon to the Lord Foster-designed Panthalassa and founder Fabio Perini's own Elettra are slated to make the scene and compete for the top prize under the auspices of the ultra-exclusive Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.

Set to take place September 1–4 in the waters around Porto Cervo, big ticket sponsors include Rolex, Audi and Champagne Pommery.

Want to compete in the Cup? There are six Perini Navi yachts available for sale via global online luxury marketplace JamesList, ranging from the 131-ft. Clan VI built in 1983 for $7.3 million, to the 184-ft. Salute built in 2008 for $50 million. There are also six Perini beauties for charter on JamesList, from the 110-ft. Heritage M built in 2000 for $95,000 per week to an impressive 164-ft. cruiser built in 2001 for $195,000 per week.

Diamond 44 yacht

World's Fastest Open Superyacht for $40 Million
The awesome $50 million Mangusta 165 superyacht that Sting was spotting playing around on the other day is currently the world's largest open yacht as well as one of the fastest. By 2013 however Italy's AB Yachts plans to produce one just as big that's not only less expensive but a hell of a lot faster. The AB166 (above), which has been listed for sale via global online luxury marketplace JamesList for about $40 million, will be capable of a neck-snapping 48 knots. The 166 gets its eye-popping power from not two but three engines – MTU M93L's delivering 4,600 hp each for a total of 13,800 hp, along with AB's signature water jet propulsion system. The spacious, ingeniously-arranged interior offers five luxurious en suite guest cabins with the owner's suite lording over all with two balconies and exclusive access to a private pool area at the front of the yacht. Five crew cabins make up the service accommodation. Check out the gallery for renderings.

Qatari Pagani Zonda Uno Listed for Sale at $2.3 Million
A one-of-a-kind Pagani Zonda Uno custom-built for Qatar's royal family – the ones who recently paid $2 billion for Harrods – has been listed for sale in Italy via global online luxury marketplace JamesList for about $2.3 million. As my colleague Noah Joseph reported last summer, the supercar borrows elements from the exclusive Zonda Cinque and blends them with parts from the track-only Zonda R (see video below) for a truly unique creation. The 690-horsepower 7.3-liter V12 engine paired with plenty of carbon fiber make it a barely street-legal beast that burns fuel like mad but has lots of fun doing it. It's painted a pretty garish shade of turquoise like all the Qatari royal vehicles, including the Lamborghini they crashed back in November. We have no idea why they're selling this one but we somehow doubt it's because they need the cash.

First Bentley Flying Star by Carrozzeria Touring for Sale at $1 Million

Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

bentley mulsanne
Last March we first wrote about the stunning two-door station wagon or "shooting brake" model dubbed the Continental Flying Star built by Italian coachwork firm Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera, unveiled by Bentley at the At the Geneva Motor Show. Based on either the Bentley Continental GTC with a 560 hp twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine, or the GTC Speed with a 610 hp engine, only 20 examples will be built at a base price of about $800,000 apiece. Now the very first demo model that was shown in Geneva has been listed for sale in Belgium via global online luxury marketplace JamesList – but bagging the original comes at a premium: it's priced at about $1 million. The car's completely new rear compartment features two foldable rear seats and a variable loading space. The term "shooting brake" does not refer to the braking system but originated with custom built two-door luxury estate cars altered for use by hunters and other sportsmen such as golfers, equestrians, and polo players requiring easy access to larger storage areas than offered by the typical automobile trunk.

Ferrari F1 Car Listed for Sale at $3 Million
The amazing 2006 Ferrari 248 F1 racer (above) that was Philip Massa's No. 1 car for the 2006 Grand Prix season has been listed for sale via global online luxury marketplace JamesList for about $3 million. The car, designed by Rory Byrne and Aldo Costa featuring a 785 hp V8 engine, won seven of the last nine races of the '06 season; overall, the 248 gave Ferrari nine race wins and four pole positions, and second place finishes in both the Drivers' and Constructors' World Championships. It's just one of the rare Ferrari F1 cars listed on the site by the UK's Red Dog; also up for grabs is a 1974 Ferrari 312 B3 F1 car for $2.2 million; a 1984 Ferrari 126 C4 F1 car for $940,000; and a 1994 Ferrari 412 T1 for $810,000, all with various victories under their bonnets. Gentlemen, start your engines.

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento for Sale at $2.5 Million

Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

The super-cool Sesto Elemento concept car unveiled by Lamborghini at the Paris Motor Show in September has been listed for sale by a Moscow exotic auto dealer via online global luxury marketplace JamesList for about $2.5 million. Though not exactly street legal, that's of no consequence if you're an oligarch with your own a private racetrack, of course. The name Sesto Elemento stands for the sixth element in the periodic table, i.e. carbon, and references Lamborghini's mastery of carbon fiber technology.

The supercar weighs only 999 kg making for an impressive power-to-weight ratio of just 1.75 kilograms per hp in conjunction with the V10 powerplant producing 570 hp. It can do 0 – 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds and hit a top speed of nearly 190 mph, though with lower fuel consumption and thus lower emissions than a heavier vehicle. The carbon fiber theme carries over to the interior as well, finishing the doors, cockpit and center console. Lamborghini has said that the car may go into a limited production run of 20 examples for track use only, but that will likely take a while.

Indoor Polo, Anyone? Incredible Brazilian Equestrian Estate Listed at $17.5 Million

An incredible equestrian estate outside of Sao Paolo in Brazil featuring the only indoor sand polo field in Latin America has been listed for sale via global online luxury marketplace JamesList for about $17.5 million. The eye-popping property occupies 59 acres and includes 20 stables to house your precious thoroughbred horses, 18 paddocks and a professional grade outdoor polo field as well. The stunning 17,000-sq-.ft. Spanish Colonial main residence has six luxurious suites, refined living and dining areas, three grand fireplaces, an office, library, outdoor kitchen, terrace with panoramic view of the polo field, an inground pool with a swim-up bar also overlooking the polo grounds, and tennis / basketball courts. The lush grounds feature towering palms, tropical flowers and rolling lawns. Check out the gallery for a preview.

Historic Steam-Powered Superyacht Gets a $20 Million Price Cut

Back in January when we reported that the SS Delphine (above), one of the last great private steamships of the 1920s, built for motorcar magnate Horace Dodge, was for sale at $70 million we assumed it would be snapped up right away. Now the astounding superyacht has been listed on global luxury marketplace JamesList for just $53 million, a price cut of nearly $20 million, making it a truly exceptional bargain. The listing also includes some great images of the classic craft which we've included in the gallery below. When the 257-ft. yacht was launched in 1921 Dodge had it fitted out with an interior by Tiffany & Co., acres of wood paneling and every conceivable luxury a gentleman could purchase.

She was pressed into service during World War II as the flagship for Admiral Ernest Joseph King, Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Navy. Winston Churchill and President Roosevelt are said to have met aboard her prior to convening the Yalta Conference with Stalin in 1945, but she was sadly allowed to rust away in subsequent years. A European clothing mogul had her fully restored to former glory, including the steam engines, several years ago at a cost of $60 million. Along with accommodations for 26 guests and 28 crew members, there's a music salon, cinema, fitness center, spa, sauna, smoking room, swimming pool and original fixtures like the telegraph machine in the mahogany pilothouse.

Strand Craft Yacht & Supercar for Sale at $27.5 Million

Filed under: Yachts & Sailing, Luxury Cars & Autos, Architecture & Design

The Strand Craft 122 superyacht / supercar combo we first told you about back in May has moved beyond the concept stage into a production-ready rocketship. The first example has just been listed for sale by Sweden's Gray Design via global online luxury marketplace JamesList for about $27.5 million, with a slated delivery date of October 2013. The sleek 125-ft. craft will be able to reach a top speed of 55 knots with the use of her optional Rolls-Royce KaMeWa boosters kicking out over 14,000 hp. High gloss mahogany inlays on the foredeck and all-glass atrium covering the cockpit deliver the best facets of both open and closed yachting in one razor sharp high-tech package.

The retro-futuristic Art Deco interior features four large, bedrooms, reception and leather-upholstered salon areas alongside comfortable crew cabins. Elliptical bulletproof windows that stretch halfway across the hull and enough Greek marble to recreate Athens round out the fancy finishes. The specially handcrafted carbon fiber supercar that comes with it is a completely one-off design closely resembling the genetic form and fashion of the mothership. With a rear mounted, 880hp twin-turbo V12 engine it has an estimated 375 km/h top speed and a 0-60 mph time of 3.2 seconds. A hydraulic garage door raises upwards and deploys a retractable ramp to become a dockside driveway.

Hit the Water in the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Cigarette Boat for $1.2 Million

Filed under: Yachts & Sailing, Luxury Cars & Autos

Back in February we first told you about plans for the wicked new 46' Cigarette powerboat inspired by the new Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG supercar. Now the killer craft has hit the water, and you can pick one up via global online luxury marketplace JamesList for a cool $1.2 million. The Cigarette 46' Rider XP is the only powerboat available with the all-new Mercury Racing 1,350 hp 9-litre V8 Twin Turbo engines – altogether almost five times as much power as the SLS AMG that inspired it. Thanks to lightweight composite construction, it can do 95.59 knots with a maximum speed of 117 knots, or 130 mph for you landlubbers. With the same hand-applied silver paint as the SLS AMG that "covers body surfaces like a metallic skin, targeting light reflections to further emphasize exterior character lines and design details", it's a dazzling sight on the water – if it slows down enough for you to get a glimpse. The inside features marine-grade upholstery designed to resemble the two tone Nappa leather in the SLS AMG. Buy one of each, but just remember which one goes in the water.

Sultan of Brunei's Custom Ferrari F50 for Sale

Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos, Wealth

The other day we told you about the Sultan of Brunei's incredible 7,000-strong, multi-billion dollar car collection, boasting among other things some 450 Ferraris. Apparently the collection has been reduced by at least one – the filthy rich ruler's custom 1996 Ferrari F50 has just been listed for sale via global online luxury marketplace JamesList. The price is undisclosed but we expect the rare auto, one of only two right hand drive factory-built F50's in existence, to be worth at least $1 million. Custom made for the Sultan, one of only 359 F50s ever produced, it has 5,000 miles on it. The F50's V12 engine kicks out 513 hp at 8,500 rpm with a torque of 470 nM. It does 0–60 mph in 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 202 mph. Don't worry too much about the Sultan losing one the prize pieces from his collection, however; according to reports he should still have two more F50s in the garage – not to mention the 600 Rolls-Royces....

Tsar Nicholas II's Custom 1914 Rolls-Royce for Sale at $7 Million

Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos, Wealth

A royal purple 1914 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost that's said to have belonged to Nicholas II, the last Tsar of Russia, is being offered for sale in Germany via global online luxury marketplace JamesList for about $7 million. In the 1920s the custom-made car, which features nickel plated fittings, a speaking tube for communicating with the chauffeur and coachwork by Barker, found its way into the collection of circus impresario John Ringling of Ringling Bros. at Ca d'Zan, his famous 30 room Venetian mansion in Sarasota, Florida. After being displayed in a classic car museum next to Adolph Hitler's Mercedes for a spell, at some point it was acquired by a German collector who kept it in an underground bunker from which it was recently unearthed. The nearly century-old Rolls, made just 10 years after Henry Royce built his very first car, offers not only a royal pedigree but is an important piece of automotive history it its own right.

Michael Schumacher's Bugatti EB 110 SS for Sale

Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos, Celebrity Shopping

Seven-time Formula One World Champion driver Michael Schumacher's 1994 Bugatti EB 110 Super Sport (above) is being offered for sale in Germany via global online luxury marketplace JamesList for about $750,000. The bright yellow supercar was used by the legendary driver for about 10 years, though it only has 2,875 miles on it. The car is the only known example of the EB 110 SS (Sport Stradale) fitted with the luxury interior of the EB 110 GT (Gran Turismo). With a 611 hp engine and lightweight carbon fiber chassis, it was the fastest production car in the world of its time, reaching 62 mph in 3.26 seconds with a top speed of 220 mph. Along with the actual car you get a scale model of the vehicle which is part of the Schumacher memorabilia collection.

Gianni Agnelli's Classic Yacht for Sale at $1.8 Million

Filed under: Yachts & Sailing, Men's Style

gianni agnelli yacht
Fiat chairman Gianni Agnelli, who died in 2003 at the age of 81, was one of the most stylish men who ever walked the Earth. An avid playboy and racecar driver (Fiat of course owns Ferrari), Agnelli was also a keen yachtsman, and enjoyed many years of sailing his Knut Reimer-designed 82-ft. yawl Agneta with its distinctive port-wine colored sails and superb varnished hull, built in 1948. Now the stylish yacht with its restored Burmese teak deck has been listed for sale in France via global online luxury marketplace JamesList for about $1.8 million.

A regular on the on the Mediterranean Classic Yacht regatta racing circuit, the Agneta's spacious owner's stateroom features a marble fireplace and en-suite bath suitable for an elegant gentleman, while interiors are fitted with polished paneling and exotic inlays. We don't know for certain but can speculate that Agnelli, whose estate was worth $4.4 billion, entertained famed female companions like Anita Ekberg, Rita Hayworth and (rumored) Jackie Onassis aboard the beautiful boat.
