InterContinental Hotel Concierges Getting iPads

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is jumping on the iPad bandwagon. The hotels will be the first to equip their concierge teams with Apple iPads. The concierges will get their Apple iPads next week. As part of a global pilot at InterContinental New York Barclay, InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta, InterContinental London Park Lane and InterContinental Hong Kong, travelers can get enhanced local destination advice from the iPad-toting concierges. The concierges will use the iPads to show directions and maps, present short videos to guests, and provide instant booking confirmations. InterContinental has been using Facebook and Twitter to stay engaged with guests and has created a serious of destination specific Concierge websites with videos.
