Private jet juggernaut Flexjet is offering an alluring incentive to new fractional owners via a promotion with Kentucky's Keeneland, one of the world's leading thoroughbred racing and auction facilities. The three-day Unbridled experience centers around the 2011 Breeders' Cup World Championships this fall. Known as the thoroughbred industry's most prestigious championship event, the Breeders' Cup attracts fierce competition for the richest prize-money event in the world with over $26 million in purses at stake. There's a lot more to the Unbridled experience, however, as you'd expect considering the cost for a 1/16th fraction (or 50 hours / year) on one of the company's Learjet 40XRs starts at $362,500.

Each owner and their guest will enjoy the Breeders' Cup races in the comfort of a finish-line owner's suite at the iconic Churchill Downs, one of the world's greatest racetracks and home of the Kentucky Derby, as well as an invitation to attend sun-up morning workouts. A one-on-one meeting with a renowned thoroughbred trainer and an insider's look at a famed horse farm are also in the offing. The Unbridled experience is available in limited quantities at no extra charge for Flexjet customers purchasing a new fractional share now through June 12, 2011; the all-inclusive experience takes place November 3 - 6.

Green Plains, Estate of the Day

A classic piece of Virginia acreage has just hit the market. Green Plains is a 642-acre estate in Virginia's Matthews County located 30 miles from Williamsburg. The property has a long history. It is believed Green Plains was established in the 18th century with a Colonial King's Deed (the original documents were burned in Richmond during the Civil War). The property has been owned by just four families including the Cabots, one of Boston's first families, and former Texaco CEO and Chairman Augustus C. Long. The property is now held in The Augustus C. Long Trust, his daughter Dorothy Long is sole trustee and beneficiary of the property.

The property includes three miles along the North River in Mobjack Bay and it has deep water access via a 360-foot-long private pier. The main house is a red brick Georgian mansion with seven bedrooms. No interior pictures of the home unfortunately so we can't speculate on how the shape it is in. The property includes a four-foot wall which surrounds an acre of gardens and orchards. There are five Cape-Cod style cottages and three equestrian barns with 20 stalls and fenced paddocks. The property also includes property for hunting and fishing. Green Plains estate is listed at $22 million.

Arrowwood Farm, Estate of the Day

Arrowwood Farm is a gorgeous getaway home in Vass, North Carolina. The quiet retreat is is 24.5 acres that is designed for the horse lover. There is a cozy post and beam main house that is over 4,000 square feet as well as a three-bedroom apartment over the eight stall barn. The main home has a two-story stone fireplace, an upstairs loft and a screened-in porch. On the land there is a riding ring and plenty of trails. The farm is listed at $2.2 million.

Pinnacle Farm, Estate of the Day

If you like equestrian estates, Pinnacle Farms in Cornwall, Connecticut is one of the most lavish. It's got nearly everything in a a 65,000 square-foot facility (reportedly the largest post-and-beam structure built in North America in the 20th century) on an over 140 acre spread. The facility includes a massive rotunda with a 40-foot ceiling, an event kitchen and dining area, a large exposition hall, executive offices and a grand foyer that includes a stone fireplace. What doesn't it have? A main house. There is a residence within the barn that includes two bedrooms, a kitchen with granite countertops, a living room and even a central vacuum but there is no main house although there is clearly space for one. The equipment building has its own vet lab, breeding shed and foaling stalls and 50 horse stalls.

According to an NY Times article from 2005, the owner planned to build a 40,000 square foot home but scrapped the plans after her husband died. The fact that there is main home on the property is one of the reasons it has sat on the market for a while. It was originally listed at $25 million but now sits at $23.8 million.

No great interior shots on this listing but it deserves a mention on account of sheer size. Windsome Farms is 123 acres in Wellington, Florida. The equestrian estate includes 80 acres which serve as a horse farm. The property includes a Grand Prix Field, deluxe stable with over 70 Corton built stalls imported from Holland, sand rings, dressage ring, and 19 paddocks. The property also is home to a number of lakes. Windsome Farms also includes two guest apartments, owners lounge, , trainers/managers office, a separate property management building with 11 bay garaging plus A/C garaging for 18 wheeler. Claddaugh Farms

It doesn’t look like most farms we have seen but Claddaugh Farms, located in the Hidden Valley, offers plenty of land for those who really need to spread out in Southern California. The estate includes 100 acres that includes avocado orchards, tennis court, playing fields, mosaic-tiled pool and guest houses. The 15,000 square foot main house is Italian-inspired and includes an pub-styled billiard room, a double-height living room with a massive fireplace, a wood-paneled den and a massive master suite with a limestone fireplace. This estate with mountain views has also beenfeatured on HGTV. The home is listed at $17 million.
