Contents Of Antiques Shop And House Up For Auction

A historic home and hundreds on antiques are up for sale in Litchfield, Connecticut on June 5 in one amazing sale. A circa 1830 Greek Revival-style home known locally as the Historic Trowbridge-Thoms House belonged to longtime antiques dealer Thomas McBride who did business in the property's adjacent red barn. At 81 he decided to retire finally parting with items he took a lifetime to collect. Around 1,000 antique items will be auctioned off.

The real estate broker for the home property is Mary Helen Levine of Litchfield Real Estate Auctions, LLC, of Litchfield and the contents of the barn/antique shop and home will be auctioned by Tim Chapulis of Tim's, Inc. "Anyone attending this auction will be stepping back in time. This is what you would have come upon if you had been on the antique trail in the 1950s or '60s," said Chapulis in a press release.

Homes Up For Auction In Park City

Seven homes in the Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah will hit the auction block at the end of March. Accelerated Marketing Partners has announced that it will hold a real estate auction for seven Upper Deer Valley Homes at Lookout at Deer Valley on March 27. The auction will be held at th Stein Eriksen Lodge and mimium bids on the homes range from $1.65 million to $2.55 million which is up to 59 percent below the last asking prices.

Lookout at Deer Valley is a 44-acre community of 35 home sites with 270-degree panoramic views of the Deer Valley Resort and Park City ski runs. The seven homes include four and five bedroom homes with original asking prices as high as $5.595 million.Residents can take advantage of a private homeowners' shuttle service with front-door-pickup, taking them to the lifts of Silver Lake and other destinations within Park City. Other amenities include concierge service, a clubhouse with a private owner's lounge, patio grill and fireplace, and a lookout observatory tower. Five of the homes available at auction are ready for immediate occupancy, two of them can be customized and will be ready for occupancy later this year. The homes have vaulted ceilings, wood-paneled doorways and large stone fireplaces. Gourmet kitchens have granite counters and SubZero appliances and master baths offer heated travertine stone flooring and jetted spa tubs. Oyster Harbors House Auction

If you want this home you'll need to move quickly it's being auctioned off on Monday, August 3. This home is located in a place I spent plenty of time in as a child, the community of Oyster Harbors in Osterville, Massachusetts. This gated community is no recent addition to Cape Cod, it was established in 1927 on Osterville Grand Island. Today's home is a mortagee's foreclosure being auctioned off by JJManning Auctioneers. Supporting documents show that it is owned by Krikor Baytarian, head of Norada Construction, the company which built the home.

The new 8,500 square foot home sits on approximately 1.52 acres. The five-bedroom home includes large common areas, library, third floor observatory, a first floor master suite and the potential for additional guest quarters over the garage. The property is enhanced with decks, patios, and an in-ground pool with cabana and a pool house with a full bath, laundry, changing rooms and a wet bar.

A $50,000 deposit in certified or bank check must be shown at the auction. The balance is due in 30 days and other terms will be announced at the sale. Related documents say the home was once listed at $5.85 million and the tax assessment is $3,312,300.

Royal Palm Yacht And Country Club, Estate of the Day

A Florida home once owned by Richard Rochon, co-founder of private equity investment firm Royal Palm Capital Partners, heads to auction next month. This is no ordinary home, but is a huge Renaissance-style mansion in the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club area of Boca Raton. The home was on the market for $21.9 million. Rochon's lender, Thornburg Mortgage Inc., filed a foreclosure notice on the home in December.

The auction of the 25,000 square-foot waterfront home is scheduled for July 11. There is no minimum bid but potential buyers must show up with a $250,000 deposit to participate. The home has six bedrooms, an elevator, wine room, an indoor lap pool, a theater, and 475 feet of boat dockage space. The property includes a waterfront terrace, outdoor pool and spa, cabana bath, summer kitchen and a practice putting green. The home is a slightly larger version of other huge mansions I've seen in the Boca area. Some distinctive details include a two-story formal living room with a hickory floor, coffered wood ceilings, his and hers offices and a master wing that includes a bedroom with double-height ceiling and stone arches. The Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club is a private, by-invitation only club with a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, a 30,000-square-foot golf clubhouse, fitness center, clay tennis courts, swimming pool, and two championship croquet courses.
