T.R. Knight in Los Feliz, Estate of the Day

T.R. Knight, who played George on "Grey's Anatomy" seems to have left California behind. The Wall Street Journal reported that Knight is scheduled to appear in a David Mamet play on Broadway later this month and has relocated to New York. Meanwhile, this beautiful home that he bought in 2007 for around $2.9 million is up for sale. The home is a classic stunner, built by Leona P. Woods in 1930 and given a loving renovation by Knight and his team. The 4,000-square-foot-home is on around a third of an acre near Los Angeles' Griffith Park. The home's major feature is its lovely woodwork. The home's two-level great room has vaulted wooden ceilings and a minstrels gallery. The master bedroom has a domed corbel ceiling. The abundance of wood and peaked arch doorways does give the home a bit of a churchlike feel. It would be interesting to see what Knight would have done with the decor but this place is completely bare. He has listed the home for $3.995 million.

As the Real Estalker reminds us, Knight wasn't the only Grey's Anatomy cast member with a home in Los Feliz. Kate Walsh is still trying to sell the mansion she bought in 2007 for $4.75 million. That home is on the market for $4.295 million .Katherine Heigl has been trying to sell a three-bedroom home in the same area off and on for the past year or two. That home is currently off the market.

Shonda Rhimes In Hancock Park, Estate of the Day

Sometimes it seems that celebrities don't really want to buy a house in Los Angeles unless another celebrity has lived there first. Earlier this year "Grey's Anatomy" producer Shonda Rhimes bought Beck's old place in Hancock Park. We had watched that house, once listed as high as $9 million, received a host of price cuts. The Real Estalker reveals that that home sold for $5.7 million back in March leaving Rhimes with the task of selling her own home in the same area. The home that Rhimes is selling is a five-bedroom Mediterranean which was built in 1926. The Real Estalker reports that Rhimes bought the home in 2005 for $3.885 million.

It looks like Rhimes moved on a while ago. This home is styled within an inch of its life. But I suspect that the colorful paint jobs were done before Rhimes moved out. The home has great old bones with dark-stained hardwood floors, carved stone moldings on the entrance into the living room and beamed ceilings. Wide windows and French doors create a sun-filled open space. The second floor has four bedrooms including a master suite with two walk-in closets with dressing areas, a large master bath and a covered balcony. The backyard has a swimming pool, barbecue center and a very cute children's playhouse that looks like a Victorian house. The two-car garage has been converted into a book-shelved office and changing room. This home is listed at $3.695 million.

Salvatore Ferragamo Soft Cesar Clutch, Handbag of the Day

Salvatore Ferragamo Soft Cesar ClutchThe Salvatore Ferragamo Soft Cesar Clutch is a quirky and attractive steel-colored masterpiece.

After a long 2009 of safe choices by most well-known designers, this unusual style from an established house is a welcome surprise. The soft natural-grain calfskin is gently tucked at the corners by striking silver rings. The flap top is accented with Ferragamo's signature Gancini belt and two decorative studs, which balance the subtle swoop of the shape. The steely gray color is the only "safe" thing about this bag -- but with the bull-ring-esque details and demure 6"H x 11"W x 3"D size, the color only ensures versatility.

This clutch is perfect for day or night, and the rings and belt are sure to be noticed. We'd love to see this sexing up a pastel spring ensemble.

The Salvatore Ferragamo Soft Cesar Clutch is available from Neiman Marcus for $950.00.

The Point Foundation, Charity of the Day

The Point Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to granting scholarships to students who have been marginalized due to sexual orientation or identity. The group recently honored actress Kristen Chenoweth at its third annual Los Angeles gala, where it raised over $300,000. Wells Fargo additionally received a Point Inspiration award for its efforts to respect the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community in its corporation.

The star-studded event (including Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight, at right, center) was proof that this organization is doing important work to recognize academic excellence among LGBT students, as it strives to mentor this group of young talent and help guide these kids to college and beyond.
