Statement necklaces are everywhere this season and I love it! The Clustered Rosette Necklace ($330) by Nicole Romano is one of my favorites because it's timeless and would work well into the autumn season. It sits right at the collarbone and adds instant wow to your outfit. It's a chunky piece that exudes strength and sophistication with a hint of femininity given its rosettes.

My dilemma is that I find myself wearing the same - but my absolute favorite - hoop earrings nearly everyday. And wearing hoops with such a striking and lively necklace would be a total overkill. So, I've been forced to switch up the routine and try something different - no earrings! Being that I don't feel completely dressed without them, perhaps little studs would work better.

Ongwat Tiger's Eye Ring

This may be one of the more unusual rings featured on Luxist but one that captures a stone in its beautiful and natural state. The Tiger's Eye Ring by Ongwat is simply constructed and minimal is design, yet with such a large stone (measures at 2 1/2") being the focal point, this ring stands out. Although tiger eye may not be considered the most luxurious of stones to choose from, the various hues that come through against a gold plated setting is very complimentary. Price: $300.

Gold-Plated and Diamond-Studded Macbook Pro

I love my Macbook, but I don't know that I'd ever considering going so far as to plate it in gold with a big diamond-studded apple logo. But if you're of a different opinion and have the money to burn then you should get in touch with the team over at Computer Choppers and commission your own customized laptop casing, with options including gold or platinum plating with diamonds, sapphires, and other gems. Pricing varies, of course, but estimates for a gold-plated Macbook Pro run around $1200-$1500 plus another $500-$2400 for the logo (depending if you want CZs or diamonds).

I remember the Slinky as being really fun and really frustrating at the same time -- you only got to play with it for a day or two before it got hopelessly tangled or the metal loops got bent and kinked. Gold-Plated Kawasaki Motorcycle

Oooh, shiny. The attention-getter shown here is a 24K gold-plated Kawasaki ZX-636 which was created by Two Brothers Racing and presented to racer James "Bubba" Stewart at the Anaheim One Supercross. The bike isn't meant to be a racing bike, it's more for fun and wit h all that gold it's probably going to spend most of its life as a track bike. More pictures are available at the Two Brothers website and more details on the creation of the bike can be found here. The bike also grace the April 2006 cover of Cycle World.
