Michael Anthony In Glendora, Estate of the Day

I've always felt a little bad for Michael Anthony since he left Van Halen, replaced as bass player in the band by Eddie Van Halen's son Wolfgang. But I needn't worry to much about the musician, he's doing fine. Anthony, a founding member of Van Halen, now is part of Chickenfoot, a group including Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. He has his own line of Yamaha bass guitars and a line of hot sauces. And the rocker has now listed his Glendora, California home for sale.

Anthony and his wife Susan appear to have built the home in 1989 (they've been married since 1981). The five-bedroom Tudor-style home is in the Silent Ranch Estates gated community. The large home makes an distinctive appearance with a large porte-cochere, fountain and its tall twisted chimney. The formal living room includes a marble surround fireplace. The kitchen has been recently remodeled and comes with one very unique feature, a saltwater fish tank. In the family room there is a bar with a custom copper ceiling. The home in on around an acre and the backyard includes a saltwater beach entry rock pool with a spa, grotto and hidden rock slide. Rounding out the outdoor entertainment area is a barbecue, firepit and gazebo. Also on the property are a six-car garage (Michael Anthony loves his hot rods) and a two-room guest quarters. This home is listed at $2.295 million.
