HSN Adds Glamour To Jewelry Roster

The Home Shopping Network has announced another new branded jewelry line. This time HSN is working with Conde Nast's Glamour Magazine on a Glamour Jewelry Collection which will debut on HSN on August 18.

The Glamour Jewelry Collection is Glamour's first foray into the accessories business and the pieces were designed by Galmour's fashion team. The collection will have four new product offerings each year and each will be less than $100. Glamour's style editor Tracey Lomrantz will present it on air. The product assortment includes necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings, and the premiere fall line will focus on four key trends: American Luxury, Charms & Chains, Sparkle & Shine, and Eye Candy." The Glamour Jewelry Collection will debut on HSN at 2am EDT/11pm PDT on August 18 and will be available at http://www.hsn.com/ beginning August 3. Other recent HSN-ers include Jonathan Adler and Liza Minnelli.

The History of Women's Fashions on Display at the Met

The 18-inch waisted-women in the first gallery of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City's stunning new show, American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity , are the great-grandmothers of the sexy screen sirens in the last. On view through August 15, this Costume Institute exhibition presents high-end women's fashions from the 1890s to the 1940s. Visitors walk through darkened circular galleries that reflect the decor and style of a feminine archetype from a particular era. Each gallery has a label starting with the "heiress" era when high fashion meant French haute couture.

True to those guidelines, the Multi-Colored Pave Sutra Bracelet is both creative and glamorous. The link bracelet is made of 18K white gold and inlaid with 4,400 pave-set stones, including rubies, garnets, sapphires and amethysts, to make up its rainbowed appearance. The dangling charm is a "love knot," an intricately looping shape that represents (of course) love. Shown in the "bold" size, the bracelet measures 8.75." Price: $66,000.

Packed in a Paul Frank Travel Bag with detachable mirror, sunglass case and zip pouch, the kit includes a limited edition, numbered pair of Paul Frank optometrics sunglasses and over $125 worth of Urban Decay cosmetics, including bronzer, lip gloss and eyeshadows.
