Ecosaurus Offers New Ways to Greet with Interactive Cards

The motto of the fabulously outrageous some·ecards.com is "When you care enough to hit send." But sometimes you care a little more than that – you really want to, like, send something. And sometimes you care a lot more, and not just about the card with which you're greeting: you want to send something little, luxurious, original, and green. Welcome, then, to the kinder, gentler-yet-just-as-luxurious world of greeting cards, otherwise known as Ecosaurus.

Made from Neenah Paper Environment PC 100 White – paper seemingly more natural than the trees it's made of, the product of an EPA-award-winning firm – Ecosaurus greeting and note cards combine the old days of holding something weighty and personal and ornate in your hands, with the new days of refraining from your previous, Earth-killing ways.

They have just announced their interactive greeting cards, which give you all kinds of options to check and circle instead of having to just make things up. After all, how long would it have taken you to let someone know that their urban swagger and high-kicks inspire you? If you do know what you want to say and simply need the proper canvas, note cards come in seven flavors, and Ecosaurus gift wrap lets you keep it all in the family. And how can you say no to a stegosaurus adorned with a leafy back?

Sadly, the interactive cards don't yet include a box for the yes/no answer to "Will you go steady with me?" But we're sure that's coming...

Give Yourself a Gift, Let Someone Else Do the Wrapping!

It does not matter what holiday you celebrate this is a busy time of year for everybody. Whether you are going to holiday parties or entertaining visiting family members or working extra hours nobody has enough time to get everything done that is on their list. Sometimes the person who needs the perfect present is you, and often what we really need is not another cashmere scarf but an extra pair of hands.

How about treating yourself to a little luxury this season? Let Papyrus wrap your gifts for you. There are over 170 branches of Papyrus both in the continental United States as well as stores abroad in Canada and Hong Kong. Started in 1950 by Marcel and Margrit Schurman the company features retail stores that carry high quality products in an inviting setting. What many people may not be aware of is that the retail locations offer a gift wrapping service.

A consumer can enter with an unwrapped gift, choose a wrapping paper by the sheet from the display wall, and the store's staff will carefully wrap the present for you. They also have on hand boxes of varying sizes, rolls of gift wrap for extra-large presents, as well as a variety of ribbons and cards. As one might expect this does not end up being an inexpensive venture. You pay for all the products you need at the store and then there is a gift wrapping service fee added for the labor involved in the process.

Call your local store to see what they charge for the service but to give you an idea I was told that the sheets of seasonal themed wrapping paper cost between $4.95 - $5.95 per sheet and that the service charge for the average sized shirt box would be about $5.00 (provided I brought my own box).

Personalized Wrap Makes for an Extra Special Gift

Martha Stewart says that the wrapping of a gift is just as important as the present itself. It is the first impression someone receives and denotes a sense of effort from the one giving the gift. Sure there are beautiful gift bags, ribbons and tiny accessories to spruce-up any package but personalized gift paper from Erin Condren is the icing on the cake. Choose your own personal message to be printed on the paper in wrap-around stripes and receive cards and envelopes to put that finishing touch on. You have to wait two weeks for your $95 order but the impression it leaves will be worth it, surely. Put who it is from, a special message for that occasion or just a silly quote! I'm thinking "Luxury awaits inside..." sounds like a reason to tear into a package right away.
