The former home of poet and writer Langston Hughes in East Harlem is up for sale for $1 million. The town house, at 20 East 127th Street needs work. The listing is here.
--Mark Lee, the new chief executive of Barneys New York, has sold his apartment in Chelsea for $2.95 million.

From the Real Estalker:
--Kate Moss is moving to the Highgate area of London. She is rumored to have spent around £7.5 million for a seven-bedroom home. Jude Law and Siena Miller may have also purchased a home in the area which was listed at £7.95 million.
--Bristol Palin, daughter of Sarah Palin, has taken the unusual step of buying a five-bedroom home in the town of Maricopa, Arizona for $172.000.
--Pink and Carey Hart have bought a six-bedroom home in Malibu for $11.85 million.
--George Michael has picked up a new five-bedroom home in Palm Beach, Australia for around $6 million.

From the Real Deal:
--RuPaul has sold a 1,490-square-foot unit at the River West Condominium at 296 West 10th Street for $2.4 million. He bought the apartment in 1998 for $1.095 million.

--A pricey duplex at 960 Fifth Avenue, most recently listed for $22 million, is under contract.
--Actor William Daniels has sold his Upper West Side spread for $1.395 million.

George Michael Celebrates Getting His License Back In Style

Singer George Michael is back behind the wheel after a two-year driving ban and he's celebrating in grand style. WENN caught him taking delivery of his new baby, a $200,000 Ferrari California. Michael lost his license in 2007 after being found slumped behind the wheel of his car. He pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of marijuana. Although there is a three-year waiting list for these cars since they were announced, George Michael may have jumped the list a bit to get his new toy.

The first example of the Ferrari California was sold during its American unveiling in Santa Monica in 2008 for a top bid of $520,000.

The California takes inspiration from classic Ferrari designs from the 1950s but with a modern Pininfarina spin. Under the hood there is a direct-inject, 460-hp version of the company's 4.3L V8. It is a performance machine but with a little more room and a more street-friendly style than some other Ferraris. The car goes from 0-60 miles per hour in under four seconds.

George Michael Shows Off Art Collection in Texas

George Michael didn't buy Damien Hirst's diamond skull but he and his partner Kenny Goss have spent plenty on other pieces of contemporary art including many works by Damien Hirst. They are currently displaying works by Damien Hirst in a Dallas, Texas gallery. The Goss-Michael Foundation's exhibition includes "Saint Sebastian, Exquisite Pain," featuring a black calf whose body has been pierced with dozens of arrows and "The Incomplete Truth" which shows a dove in formaldehyde. Goss, who has been with George Michael for 12 years, is a native Texan. The pair enjoying collecting art in Britain and then bringing it to Dallas, previous exhibitions have featured James White and a tribute to Tracey Emin.

Is George Michael Set To Buy The Diamond Skull?

Ever since Damien Hirst unveiled his $99 million diamond bedazzled skull, I have wondered who would be the first to be rumored to make the skull their own. Never in a million years would I have guessed George Michael but rumor has it that he and his partner Kenny Goss had a private viewing of Hirst's work last week. The skull, an 18th century piece bought by Hirst in a north London shop, is covered with 8,601 diamonds totaling 1,106.18 carats.

Hirst and Goss have an art collection that is valued at £100 million and already own a Hirst work, Saint Sebastian, Exquisite Pain, a preserved black calf pierced by dozens of arrows and tied to a steel post. The couple also plans to launch the Goss-Michael Foundation, a non-profit organization for promoting young artists. Although if they buy this piece they probably won't have a lot of money left.

$3 Million for George Michael on New Year's

New Year's Eve parties are often some of the biggest events of the year, so it's no surprise to hear that the ultra-rich go all out for them. A Russian billionaire wanted to ensure that his party had top-of-the-line entertainment and paid singer George Michael £1.5 million (approx $3 million) to perform a set. "George was back home in Britain by morning," a representative said, and with the honor of being the highest paid entertainer in Russian history. The runner-up for the title is Christina Aguilera, was paid £1 million ($2 million) "for performing three songs at a Russian wedding" in 2005.
