Lotus Evora by Mansory

With the Geneva Motor Show fast approaching, Lotus has announced a new version of the Evora. Made in partnership with the typically outlandish customizer Mansory, the special Evora is meant to demonstrate what the aftermarket has to offer its customers.

Little in the way of details were offered at this early juncture, but from the pair of photos released, it's clear that Mansory has outfitted the Evora with an array of carbon fiber parts and body panels.

Infiniti is planning on revealing a new compact coupe concept at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, and has released the silhouette sketch you see above to pique our interests.

Although little in the way of details were released, sources expect it to be called the Etheria, built atop a platform from parent company Nissan/Renault, with a turbocharged engine sourced from Mercedes-Benz. Whatever form and name it takes, it'll be targeted directly at the likes of the Audi A3, Volvo C30, BMW 1 Series and Lexus CT 200h.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 coming to Geneva

Details are trickling in as Lamborghini prepares to unveil its new supercar at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The car tentatively known as the Aventador LP700-4 will replace the discontinued Murcielago, and is confirmed to get a new 6.5-liter V12 engine driving 700 horsepower to all four wheels through a new type of ISR transmission and F1-style pushrod suspension that promises to deliver blistering performance.

With the details confirmed, what we're waiting for at this point is the car's design. The spy shot above has been circulating, showing the Aventador in its near-final form but with swirly camouflage disguising its shape. What we can tell is that it will be suitably aggressive in its shape, with edgy angles inspired by the million-dollar Reventon.

Chrysler To Expand Overseas Under the Lancia Name

Chrysler may be known as the "other" luxury marque here in America, but overseas it's hardly known at all. So with a new roster of vehicles on offer, Chrysler is changing it strategy for foreign markets. Teaming up with industrial partner Fiat, Chryslers will be sold overseas under the Lancia name.

The range – including Lancia versions of the 200 and 300 sedans and the Town & Country minivan – are anticipated to be unveiled, along with the new Ypsilon premium hatchback, at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March.

Saab Previews New 9-5 SportCombi

It's been a bumpy road for Saab. The Swedish automaker was jettisoned by General Motors, and after several rounds of negotiations with potential buyers fell through, was eventually sold to Dutch exotic automaker Spyker. The new 9-5 was developed under with GM resources, but unveiled as the first new product under the new management. And now Saab is preparing to follow up with the 9-5 SportCombi.

The wagon version is to be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March. And when it does, sources are expecting turbocharged four-cylinder and V6 engines with or without Saab's proprietary XWD all-wheel drive system. Volvo had better take note.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Leaks Out Before Geneva Motor Show

Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

You may have noticed that Mercedes-Benz killed off the CLK model line a couple of years ago. In its place came the triumphant return of the E-Class coupe and convertible. Here's the thing, though: the CLK was originally envisioned as a two-door to bridge the gap between the C-Class and E-Class. And here we very well may have our answer.

Expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, these images of the upcoming C-Class Coupe have leaked out a little ahead of schedule. And if they're anything to go by, the German automaker could have a real winner on its hands. It's expected to preview a facelift for the sedan and wagon of the same family as well, with a new front-end featuring prominent LED lighting, with engines potentially including four, six and eight cylinders. We'll have to wait another couple of months before firm details arrive, but in the meantime you can view the images in the gallery below for a preview.

Rinspeed BamBoo by James Rizzi

Filed under: Luxury Cars & Autos

Of all the automakers that display on an annual basis at the Geneva Motor Show, surely Rinspeed is the most innovative. The Swiss firm makes a tradition out of designing off-beat concept cars, and this year's will be no exception.

Called the BamBoo, the vehicle is envisioned as a mode of transportation for resort destinations and vacation homes. It offers little in the way of protection from the elements, leaving the cabin open to the warm air it's intended to drive through.

Now Rinspeed has taken its uniqueness one step further by announcing a collaboration with pop artist James Rizzi, who will apply his trademark cheerful and colorful design to the BamBoo's inflatable roof. Along with it, the BamBoo will feature one of Rizzi's bird icons on the upper roof pillar that will change color to reflect the occupants' mood.
