Boucheron Frog Ronde Seconde Folle Watch

The second watch of the new Boucheron Bestiary Ronde Second Folle collection is the Frog model, and it is even better than the Chameleon model in my opinion. Again you have two models - a more basic model and one with a pave diamond decoration and the frog's feet as well as a jeweled lily pad. Our friend the magenta amphibian is lackadaisical in demeanor with a silly yet satisfied look in his face. The complication of the seconds disc located as part of the frog's lower eye causes the pupil to spin as though the frog is constantly looking about. This is all part of the exclusive Girard Perregaux GP 4000 automatic movement made specially for Boucheron.

We don't know whether the frog is looking into the water and the sky is above him or vice versa with the frog looking into the sky from the water. Either way, the hand-done blue chalcedony over the white gold dial is a soft and artistic touch. The various colors of the frog and other elements combine diamonds, sapphires, and tsavorites. The watch case itself is 42mm wide in gray gold with a pink galuchat (stingray) strap.

Evening Rana Pouch by Marc Jacobs, Handbag of the Day

Only women looking to make a serious statement, and who really like frogs, will buy and carry this Evening Rana Pouch by Marc Jacobs. It might not be the boldest wristlet out there, but with an over-sized golden frog (complete with glittering gemstone eyes) perched brazenly on the front it's hardly subtle. Made of kangaroo leather with a lining of silk my favorite feature is the attractive single strap loop-through closure. And if the black isn't bright enough for you now worries, there's always the hot pink option (in case the golden frog alone just isn't going to turn enough heads). 8" x 5 1/2" x 6", $795.

Tara Matthews Frog Bikini

Summer carries on and, as we finally come to the height of the season, it might be time for a new bathing suit. If bold colors and prints don't suit you, you don't have to settle for something boring, or plain. The Frog Bikini by Tara Matthews is dressed up with lovely frogs, embroidered on both the top and bottom of the two-piece olive swimsuit. The frog is done in gold thread, with tiny jeweled eyes; it has a high level of interest and detail, but does not attract unnecessary attention to the suit itself in the way a gaudy pattern would. Besides, the frog is adorable and there is hardly a better animal to portray on a swimsuit than an amphibian. Price: $385.

Tim Cotterill Frogs

The calendar says it's spring (even if the weather isn't cooperating) so let's take a look at something spring-related, frogs. Tim Cotterill is known as the Frogman for a good reason. He specializes in creating bronze sculptures, specifically brightly-colored frogs.  The collectible leapers sell from $400 to $8,000 and Cotterill has many devoted fans among celebrities. Cotterill has also expanded into the world of geckos. Willie Jump, shown here, is a limited edition of 500 and sells for $6,000.
