Sub-Zero Introduces New Line, Improves Food Freshness

Sub-Zero has just announced a new line, its "Built In Refrigeration Series," which will keep food fresher longer, effectively reducing food waste. Between its unique dual-compressor system, advanced air purification and water filtration system, this refrigerator is a work of science. For those of us who don't quite understand how aforementioned systems work, there's also a "freshness guide" inside the unit to tell us where best to store fruits versus leftovers.

The line will be available in Fall 08. Check out the gallery to see some of your options!

Fresh Crème Ancienne

Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg, husband and wife co-founders of Fresh skincare, believe that every product must be as enjoyable as it is effective. Their famous Crème Ancienne is the ultimate moisturizer for face and body. This emollient anti-aging formula visibly diminishes fine lines and wrinkles. It soothes and moisturizes even the most sensitive skin with its oils of osmanthus, lemon peel and chamomile. To preserve it's purity and quality, Fresh chooses to have it's Crème Ancienne hand crafted in a European monastery, a process that takes two days! Limited quantities of Crème Ancienne are available due to it's popularity and lengthy manufacturing process. At $250 a jar (3.5 oz) this moisturizer is so concentrated you don't need much. Enjoy!

Tom Dixon Designs in the U.S. this Summer

If you've already heard of Tom Dixon then you'll be glad to know his designs are making the move the to the States this summer. And if you haven't heard of him well then a taste of his work is pictured here, Copper Shade Pendants. They're plastic polycarbonate pendant globes coated internally with copper that look equally beautiful hanging solo or in a large group. Other designs of his that catch my eye are the Fresh Fat Easy Chair and the Spin articulated table candelabra.

Gloss Over It

Growing up, I ate a lot of Popsicles during the summertime. Cherry Popsicles were my favorite, and they were always the first to disappear from the freezer. It wasn't that I particularly relished the cough-syrup taste. I ate cherry Popsicles because I was fond on the color they left behind on my lips. Now that I am older, and less inclined to devour frozen desserts on sticks, I've had to accept that there is no cherry-Popsicle-stain substitute. Apparently, the Popsicle red isn't a color that sophisticated cosmetic companies create for discriminating customers.

But I have to think that Fresh was channeling my beloved cherry Popsicle when they created Gloss Absolute in Desire. Enriched with antioxidant pomegranate extract, restorative Shea butter, hydrating jojoba oil and skin soothing vitamin E, Gloss Absolute gives you the flushed summery look of Popsicle lips but without the high-fructose corn syrup part. Price: $24.
