Ace Of Cakes To Take Part In Palm Desert Food Festival
The Ace of Cakes is headed to the Palm Desert. Duff Goldman, the star of the Food Network's Ace of Cakes, is just one of the chefs taking part in the second annual Food & Wine Festival Palm Desert which runs March 25-27, 2011. The food festival will also feature four James Beard Award winners: Paul Bertolli, Bradley Ogden, Jimmy Schmidt and Roy Yamaguchi. The event is a gathering of epicureans and wine aficionados that takes place under the Big White Tent, which hosts Fashion Week El Paseo (March 20-28, 2011), produced by Palm Springs Life.During the festival dates March 25-27, two Viking Range Corporation stages will host celebrity chefs giving demonstrations. This year there will also be a winemaker and sommelier stage. The event will feature gourmet food from more than 50 fine dining restaurants, caterers, and food suppliers and more than 100 varietals of premium wines and champagnes from California, Europe and South America. Tickets start at $65.
