Nina Ricci Floral Pumps

Nina Ricci's Mary Jane Pumps ($780) have a flirty but refined feel. Its 4 1/2" inch heel and platform sole exude instant sex appeal while a decorative flower along the vamp has the odd combination of being girlish yet elegant.

Featured in grey (which looks more like navy blue) and wine suede, the monochromatic design is the perfect backdrop to enhance the power of simple decorative touches like a fabric floral accent and subtleties like the burnt orange outline and black outline above the platform. Ricci's flowery Mary Jane's would be a perfect complement to your holiday party dress.

Nina Critia Sandals

Wouldn't these Nina sandals be perfect for a sunny summer wedding? Whether you're the bride wearing a free flowing long chiffon dress, a bridesmaid or a wedding guest, the Critia Sandals ($80) would be ideal. They exude a softness and charm by using a single oversized flower as its focal point and only adornment. The heel is only 3 1/2 inches so they'll offer you a little bit of height and comfort throughout the day. Even if you aren't getting married or attending a wedding anytime soon, the Critia Sandals are also available in a wide range of eye popping candy colors, like fuschia luster, ruby and grape, so you can wear to any special event.

Gianmarco Lorenzi Flower Sandals
Looking more like a piece of art than a shoe you could wear, The Satin Flower Platform Sandals by Gianmarco Lorenzi ($978) are beautiful. The little Beyonce/Mariah Carey in me is just dying to wear these somewhere – anywhere! With an electric blue as the backdrop, the large satin and beaded flower takes center stage and immediately grabs your attention. As though the oversized flower wasn't bold enough, the blue-green cut out mega platform gives more height than you have ever dreamed of.

Perrelet Diamond Flower Prestige Edition Watches

Based on the success of last year's Perrelet's Diamond Flower Double Rotor watches for women, Perrelet comes back with more dressy versions of the decidedly sporty luxury watch (last year's had a rubber strap and was in steel). The new versions (three of a few) come with lots of diamonds (various amounts on each) as well as trendy looks. Each has a crocodile strap is either in a white gold or rose gold case that is 38mm wide. Diamonds really make these watches glitzy. The white version has over 1000 diamonds on the case and dial for a total of 10.48 carats!

The pink version has diamonds mixed with lots of rubies, while the brown version has a "chocolate" mother-of-pearl dial, with more diamonds. The lotus flower floral design on the dial is actually connected to the automatic rotor that is part of the P-181 Swiss automatic movement. As such, the "diamond flower" moves around the dial when moving around the watch. There are a good large size, but still feminine in dimension and have a great fun and beautiful design. Not sure about price, but they are going to be much more than the previous Diamond Flower watch model. One exciting version not seen yet is in ceramic, might have both black and white ceramic on the same watch. Look for these sometime in the Spring.

Limited Edition Flowerpower Desk Fan

The Flowerpower fan has been around for awhile now but for people who like a little floral energy indoors to help deal with the heat of the summer there's a new addition to the Flowerpower family: the Flowerpower desk fan. Modern, whimsical, and funky, with a definite hippie vibe, the Flowerpower fan design is safe for kids (blunt blades and a safety switch that shuts it off when an obstruction is detected) and features a motor that's both especially powerful and especially quiet. The floor version of the Flowerpower fan is available in several color options but the latest limited edition desk fan only comes in black. £205

Crushed Glass Vase

Spring and summer are my favorite seasons because, among other reasons, I just love cut flowers so much. It's still a little early for anything homegrown, but I'm starting to get really inspired and excited -- and it's almost as much fun coming inside and finding the perfect vase for a bouquet as it is to pick out the flowers themselves.

I can totally picture a big gorgeous bunch of daisies (I love simple flowers) in this subtly sparkling and handcrafted Crushed Glass Vase in amethyst. 16" high and 6 1/2" wide at top. $66.95.

Consumer Reports Rates Valentine's Chocolates, Flowers

Still stuck trying to figure out what to give your significant other for Valentine's day? Chocolates and flowers are always a great gift, even for the guys. After all, it's hard to turn down chocolate. Consumer reports rounded up their picks for their favorite chocolatiers and online flower shops, so you won't have to rack your brain wondering if you made the right decision.

In chocolates, they gave Candinas, La Maison du Chocolat, Jacques Torres and Norman Love Confections all "excellent" ratings, with West-coast favorite See's Candies coming in close behind with a "very good" rating, along with Godiva and Leonidas. Target's Choxie brand followed with a "good" rating.

For the florists, reliability seemed to present a problem with some vendors. ProFlowers offered selection, value and reliability, but FTD.com, which stocks the Todd Oldham bouquets, sent out the nicest arrangement. CR still recommends going with a local florist, if you can, for best results.

The Personalized Roses

A bouquet of roses on Valentine's Day sends a message, but that message could be anything from "let's be friends" to "I love you." The only sure way to make the message clear is by directly including it with the roses. And in this case, you can actually put the message directly on the long-stemmed Colombian roses directly. From Hammacher Schlemmer, these Personalized Roses are each embossed in gold with your choice of "I love you," "Happy Birthday," and "Happy Valentine's Day." They are sold by the dozen and packed with baby's breath and greens, in your choice of red, white, pink or yellow roses. Price: $80.

Tilla Gold-Plated Flowers

De Beers' slogan is "a diamond is forever," a reminder to potential consumers that the gift of jewelry will last much longer than a bouquet of flowers, no matter how strong the sentiment behind them. The Tilla Gold Plated Flowers are also long-lasting, however, as the bouquet of 18 flowers is made with 14k gold. The 22-inch high display was designed by Michelle Ivankovic and is delicately crafted enough to give a life-like stir in a gentle breeze. Price: $60.

There are also five different finishes to choose from for the base of the chair. Individually, the chairs can be used in an office, as a desk chair, or used as kitchen chairs in a modern kitchen. Price: $1,200.

Flowerpower Fan

Flowers with functionality, like the Sarah Clock, are something we wouldn't mind seeing more of. Somehow, flowers make things a little more fun. They can also brighten up a room, as the Flowerpower Fan does in each of its six bright colors. Far more aesthetically pleasing than the fan you might have had back in your dorm room at college, the fan blades on this 3-speed fan are made from high-density foam, meaning that they are safe enough to not require enclosure in a metal cage. It also means that, unlike more traditional fans, these are easy to clean and will not simply push dust around. Price: £395.

Soccer Ball by Takashi Murakami

If I had to guess, I would say that this soccer ball is aimed at art fans or collectors more than soccer fans. Soccer fans seem to be drawn towards balls that they can play with, or balls that have been signed by their favorite team, rather than a limited edition ball that seems intended for display. That said, despite the bold, floral pattern designed by Takashi Murakami, this ball could be used to play a game in the yard during a World Cup half-time. It is manufactured by one of the leading soccer ball companies, Molten USA, with FIFA approved materials and construction. What really mark it as a work of art, though, are the clear plastic display bag and the $400 price tag.

Bulgari Special Edition Flower Sunglasses

The Bulgari special edition Flower Sunglasses hit all the hot sunglass style points of the moment. They have black acetate wrap-around frames, large lenses and are loaded with sparking Swarovski crystals. The flower detailing makes them unique in the bling department, since many other sunglass designs this season took a more abstract approach to their ornamentation. Variations on the theme include glasses without frames and colored frames, like the pair shown here in Bordeaux. The lens shades vary slightly with each color. To get a pair yourself, look for a retailer in your area.
